A Shot Of Java

Showed up at 8am and they were still closed. Waited for someone to arrive for about an hour. Finally got inside when the barista finally decided to show up to discover a funky smell in here. The furniture and decor were unique and comforting. Ordered a latte and the milk had almost no volume or thickness to it. Temperature was good. The espresso itself had a bitter taste like it ran too long. I wouldn't mind, but they are charging more than Starbucks for a unprofessional coffee drink. I really hate to kick down a small local business, but this was just not what I was expecting.

It was my first visit and there may have been some sort of miscommunication, so I’ll give it another shot later. But my “iced americano, add a pump of dark chocolate” tasted and looked like a mocha americano… even though I was reassured there was no milk in it. Husband’s vanilla iced coffee was reportedly good.

Great little coffee shop in downtown Glendale. I’ve been checking out local coffee places the last couple of months and this might be the best I’ve tried in terms of quality coffee and overall atmosphere. They have a large variety of drinks but I was particularly excited to try their Turkish coffee since it’s not something most coffee places offer-it was great, by the way! The place is comfy and the baristas are friendly. I would highly recommend.
