Sam's Pizza

We've passed this place a million times because we live just right down the street and often go to the Asian market, tonight we are all hungry (me, husband and 3 kids) and we decided to go in for a pizza we thought what the heck will give it a try even though it looks a little run-down... we ordered a hand tossed white pizza, but I added a whole bunch of veggies to it ... Pizza came out and it was then crust instead of hand tossed... no biggie she immediately asked us if we wanted her to make us a new pizza and I said no it's fine but thanks for offering. The pizza was delicious the kids ate it all up we had no leftovers!!!!! I seriously compared it to a gourmet pizza something you would eat at Oregano's, but without the crazy wait time!!! Wr got super awesome friendly service! They were so accommodating they even turned one of the TV screens to a cartoon so the kids can enjoy a movie while we eat(without Mr asking) and my husband watched a football game! I've never had a restaurant change the channel to accommodate my children! Seriously Moms that's huge! Will definitely be going back for more!!!

We typically order from a wide variety of restaurants within a few miles from the house and so far this place has been a real good find for us. We've been trying a wide variety of menu items but never the pizza till tonight. Ordered the thin crust with pepperoni and sausage and it was fresh out of the oven hot on a Friday night! Very tasty and satisfying. Better flavor than most of those chains. Not the best I've ever had but worth trying. Because they've done such fine job with all our previous orders , we are going to eventually try most of the menu items. That is , if I can get my wife away from the Greek salads.

My family had been going to Sam's pizza since we moved out here from Illinois in 1995 - we were sad when the original closed. It has since reopened by Sam's son and renamed to Papa Sam's and it's still great pizza!! I took my 9 month old and my 4 year old there to pick up some pizza for the Cubs game yesterday! The staff was soooo amazing - they even let my son help make our pizza! After we left, he told me "this is the best day ever!" So, good pizza, amazing staff, and they made my son happy!! Definitely recommended!

I love this place. I think it's actually Papa Sam's and the business has changed owners. They have awesome french fries and gravy. Every time I google them I get no phone number, so I put in a request for google to update it because it drives me crazy. I keep loosing the menu. Some times we order here just for the fries because you can't get poutine fries anywhere else. People who think the owner is rude or don't like the mom and pop feel of the restaurant can go to pizza hut where some minimum wage kid will spit on your disgusting pizza.

Real Pizza! Have ordered both thin & hand tossed & loved them both. Way better then any of the main stream big corp pizza shops. No heart burn or bloated feeling after putting down almost a full pie on my own. You can tell they make the dough on site by hand & the toppings are off all top shelf choices. Going to try one of their sammys next.

I love this place. We have ordered from here a couple of times, our orders have included items from pizza to sanwiches, onion rings and burgers ... And each time we've been VERY satisfied! Not one item has disappointed! Papa sams is relatively inexpensive.. Being a bit of a pain in the ass that I am, they have catered to my requests without missing a step! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND giving PAPA SAMS a try.

I was hungry and stumbled upon this Mom and Pop pizza shop. I just wanted to try something different. My instincts were correct. What a GREAT pizza! I ordered an extra LARGE, because my son said he was very hungry (teenager). Pepperoni, mushroom and cheese. WOW! Excellent quality and very generous with all the toppings. With most pizzas, I get kinda sick of the taste after 3 pieces. I have to say after my sixth slice, it was still tasting excellent. Needless to say, I made a pig of myself. My son and I ended up eating this whole massive pizza. The place was small, but very charming. It reminded me of a cafe I ate at in Italy.There they were and very friendly with a home touch, Mom and Pop were actually creating, baking and serving the pizza. I loved the personal touch for my satisfaction (no kids RUNNING the place). My experience confirmed that I have all the faith left in the world for the small trying shops. I live in Surprise. Approximately 25 miles away from Sam's Pizza. My family eagerly jumps in the car when I announce that we are driving to Sam's for pizza. Too far for them to deliver, but well worth the trip for us. Customer for life!
