Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers

We were there last night, our server was fantastic! She was very attentive and proactive in taking care of my family. We were able to catch the game we wanted and many others on the screens in the restaurant. I had a Juicy Lucy and it was prepared very well! Fun atmosphere as long as you are looking for a fun environment to watch a sporting event with a group of fans!

Honestly, I’ve always loved this place. Tonight was off. I’m not a regular and I’ve never seen this bartender before. But she was extremely closed off. Never said hi when I sat down. Took her 3-5 minutes to even acknowledge that I was waiting for service. Then she sets a menu down and says “what do you want” very nonchalantly. Then she ignored me for the next 10 minutes until I could make eye contact and finally asked if I’d like to order. When asking questions about the food, she couldn’t smile or even offer an opinion. I actually thought to myself that I wasn’t going to order any drinks but water tonight because I don’t want to tip her. Still waiting on food, should be good as always. Update: food was amazing. Server lightened up a lot. Still rubbed wrong over it though.

My hubby and I normally go to the parkwest location. I met up with my bestie for girls' night dinner. She had never been. Our server was absolutely amazing. She didn't mi d us just sitting there chatting enjoying our evening. She did great with keeping our drinks filled and regularly checked in with us. The fried pickles with spicy ranch are great starter. My ring of fire burger is always great, and she loved the teriyaki burger and sweet potato tots. We came on Friday night at 6 and this place gets lively but not crazy which is nice. It's very clean and the booths are plus size friendly ! The only issue is the terrible parking lot and trying to find a spot during their rush time.

Great service. My spouse had visited the Scottscale location for a work meeting a couple of months ago. He came home raving about the Asian Chicken Salad (of all things at a beer/cheeseburger place!). His colleague was the one who told him about the Asian Chicken Salad after recommending Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers. They apparently both got the Asian Chicken Salad and left very happy. Fast forward to last night. Long story short, we had a date night and excitedly went to the Glendale location because I just had to try this salad. He'd been talking about it for weeks. I was curious but slightly skeptical after being disappointed by Asian Chicken Salads in so many restaurants in the Phoenix metro. VERDICT: The Asian Chicken Salad is the best I've had in Phoenix. My spouse said it was consistent with the salad offered at the Scottsdale location (except the salad here is served in a round bowl versus square, negligible difference). We shared it and scraped it clean. The flavor balance is perfect, and the ratio of ingredients is also perfect. Lettuce is nicely cut and easy to eat (which for salad lovers is a big deal). They don't skimp on the chicken, so the salad feels like a meal. Who could've imagined that the BEST Asian Chicken Salad is at Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers? I would go back today if time allowed, just for the salad. We also got the "Big Azz Nachos" with chili as the protein. Delicious. They're heavy with the jalapeños, so ask for them light or on the side if you're sensitive to spice. We had some leftover, so we packed up the nachos to take home to the kids. Stuck the leftovers in the air fryer for a few minutes, and they were the perfect leftovers for them. Topped the air fried leftovers with some sour cream and salsa we had lingering in the fridge. Got a couple beers and drinks. They are generous with the pours. Will most definitely return. Would love to try an actual cheeseburger next time.
