Damon's Steak House

After stumbling on Damon’s from a list of top restaurants in Glendale we have been super happy for n both of our visits to Damon’s. Michael is a great host who made all of us feel welcome and ensured to check on us throughout our visits. We enjoyed the potato skins , fried shrimp , and garlic bread to start the meal and washed it down with a few rounds of trader Vic mai tais. My wife enjoyed the salmon while I thoroughly enjoyed the New York which we were told is a crowd favorite. We are so happy this little place of history is here so close to the house and surely will be back regularly.

Let me start with our waiter, Ruben. Very very helpful and even tolerated my sense of humor. All around good guy and personality. We met some friends there for dinner. ALL of the food looked amazing. My wife and I both ordered the filet mignon. It looked so good when it arrived, I actually forgot to take a photo. It was amazing!! Next, we ordered desert and let me tell you…AMAZING!! Pictures of the chocolate cake as well as the orange cake included. Can I talk about the water for a moment? I like drinking water and it’s just as important for the water to be good. So many places serve water that tastes ‘tappy’…Not Damon’s. Nope. The water was not tappy at all. Very good with just enough ice too. Very good overall rating of everything here. 😃 I would totally eat here again and again!! Thanks to the GM, Michael Gingras, for the amazing team you work with. We loved it all!!

Seems like a local haunt…great staff. Very friendly. Food was solid, but not great. And a little low quality given the price points. My partner tried the chi chi (house speciality drink derived from a Piña colada) it was essentially a non-blended Piña. Second round she asked for a traditional Piña! We grabbed the calamari, pulled pork sandwich, and brisket sandwich. Solid bbq, but a bit light on the flavor and the sauce. So a bit underwhelming. There is also a tartar sauce on the calamari, and coleslaw on the sandwiches which was not explicit on the menu. Metered parking in front and back. Some side street metering is coin only; but others take CC. Outdoor dining, and dog friendly.

I've been enjoying Damon's since before the Glendale galleria was built over their old location. We don't drink, but if you do their drinks are legendary. A traditional steak house with other items on the menu so all can enjoy what they like. Stuffed potatoes, garlic bread, great salad with dinner. We sometimes order a few starters and salad and skip the dinners. Great food, nice folks.
