Mix & Match Burger

Burgers here are delicious and tasty. I'm always blown away that this place has family friendly prices. The menu is full of all kinds of toppings and things you can add for no additional charge. The shakes are good and inexpensive as well. I love this build your own burger joint. To all you frequent burger lovers this place has a burger happy hour from 3-7 every day where your purchase is %25 off. It's the best deal ever for such great burgers.

*Update August 18 I raved about this place to friends and family and couldn't wait to bring them in to have the burgers. Unfortunately, we were all disappointed.(And everyone looked at me like I was nuts for saying how great this place was!) I don't know what happened, the service was good, but the burgers had changed; hard patties that seemed reheated and the bread I gloated about in my first review was lifeless. Since I was able to try it at their best, I know the burgers here can be good... I'm hoping they can find a way to keep the quality up. ------------------------------------------------------------------ I dare say they're currently serving the Best Burgers in Glendale! Of course you can go ahead and design your own masterpiece and pile up the toppings, but the burger patty is so tasty and their choice of breads & cheeses are excellent, so you may want to start with a plain cheeseburger and call it...perfect. Bravo for the sweet potato fries. Note that you can get lettuce as your 'bread option' so +1 for days when you don't want the carbs! Love this place and glad they opened up in our neighborhood. Really nice people, excellent value, and plenty of seating. Def recommend!

Update 2/1/20: so I went back, got the toasted bun option to warm the bread up, but by the time I got my food 10+ minutes later, bread was cold. I don't get it, and it's unfortunate. Keep the bun under a heat lamp or something. I don't want my burger on cold bread. Like a less expensive version of The Counter. You get in line, pick a protein, bread, cheese, and toppings. Even bacon is a free upgrade. I chose this place because I read all these reviews about how it's the best burger ever. I wouldn't go so far as to say that, but it is a tasty burger. My one single complaint. The restaurant is kept fairly cool, you know. Like every other place. And the bread that they serve the burgers on is room temperature. No bun warmer, no toasting, nada. So I get a burger on a fairly cold room temperature bun. It really REALLY detracted from an otherwise excellent burger. Even the bun was tasty. Just COLD. sigh. The hard part about getting it warmed up is that when you pick your bun type, you walk through the cold toppings line and spread line before the burger even gets cooked. So it's also just sitting there cold while the burger is prepped. Even subway will toast the bun before putting on the veggies. In this regard, I think their production line is backwards. Cold veggies and sauces at the end! Not the beginning.

Really liked Mix & Match Burger. This was my first experience eating there. A friend recommended it & drove me there. I chose just how I wanted it (angus beef, grilled chicken or vegetable burger) + what bun or a lettuce wrap + any and all toppings out of a very wide choice. Asking the crew questions is no problem; they were quite helpful to give opinions. "By the way sir, did you want that bun toasted?" ...ummm...."Yes!", I suggest it. The price was excellent (+ check about timing at your local eatery for any "happy hour" discount on the burger). The one in Glendale even validates up to 90 minutes for parking at the nearest parking structure. Sides were reasonably priced and the sweet potato fries done to a "just right", excellent crisp. The place wasnt too crowded, but pre-orders were lined on the counter when we entered, but whisked away in moments, as "take-out" orders seem to abound there. I guess lots of folks know a good thing when they find it; and now I've found out THIS one !
