Sushi On Brand

This was the best food let alone sushi I ever had in my life. I work in Glendale at Mercedes and I always wanted to come here as I pass by it everyday. Today I had time and decided to give it a try. I was greeted with such friendly waitresses and the kind head Chef said hello to us before he began to prep the meal. I ordered the udon, popcorn lobster roll as well as the amazing fried tuna onion roll. It was the best I ever had as the quality of fish is top notch and it will literally melt in your mouth. Perfect date spot or for casual lunch guests like me. I did will rate this as the best sushi restaurant in the world! (Ive been to Japan and korea) I will recommend Oishi Sushi to everyone and I will keep coming here regularly!!!! Sushi and service is bar none the best!!!

The fish, the ambience, the staff, the noise level, everything is just perfect place for a get-together. The quality of sushi is amazing, we had 8 person and shared most of food. if you comes along with 1-2 person, try Oishi tower roll and yellow tail/salmon carpaccio. I never found this tastes any other than in this place

We ordered almost everything on their menu, and it was absolutely delicious. Fish was so fresh, rice to fish ratio was perfect, and the sauce wasn’t overpowering. My favorite was the jumbo scallop, which they source from Japan, and their halibut is also to die for. I’ve both dined in here and ordered catering, and every time they exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

LEGIT the best sushi I’ve ever had. I’ve been to Japan multiple times and this is truly on par or even better. We went with a large group and everyone was raving how they can’t wait to come back. The owners were so personable as well and they were telling us how they get a fresh catch every day. I have never written a google review, but I felt compelled to tell everyone how good it was. Number one recommendation!!!

Oishi Sushi has to be one of the best in Glendale. The takeout quality of the sushi is very good and I have to say I highly recommend if you are looking for a good sushi place to eat at home. The specialty rolls are great and very unique. Salmon and tuna quality is very fresh. We dined here for the first time and ordered a lot of drinks and had food. We immediately didn’t like 2 plates, and when we asked for it to be taken back and off the bill, the head chef came to our table yelling at us for not liking the 2 plates! He was absolutely rude and verbally aggressive. He finally backed off and became more respectful when I finally yelled at him. I said I was sorry I did not like the plates but I also shouldn’t have to apologize for not liking them. Customers sending plates back for not liking the food is common in the restaurant industry. He was completely out of line how he spoke to us. This is the first and last time we will dine here. I don’t care what position you are in or even the owner. You never speak to customers that way. As a male, you ESPECIALLY do not have any place to intimidate, speak disrespectfully, or be verbally aggressive towards a woman. On a side note, the server Lea was absolutely wonderful. Very attentive and very respectful.

We visited this restaurant hoping for a good meal. We sat down, looked over the menu, and when we were ready to order, the waitress told us there would be $2 extra for any beef order. There was nothing indicated on the menu or in the restaurant for this price increase. We agreed to it anyway. When the food came, to our surprise, they only gave a very thin slice of beef with the meal. We also ordered salmon and it came like a sushi thin slice of salmon teriyaki. We were so disappointed. They charge so much and offer so little. A great disappointment! By the way, we still tip them.
