L & L Hawiian Bbq

Really liked this place. The ambiance is nice, with plenty of Hawaiian and island beach themed decor. Food was unique and everything tasted great. First time having Loco Moco and I loved it. Really like the “mini” food options for when your not feeling down to eat something super heavy. Drinks were delicious and cashier was very nice, left with a great experience.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! MY FIRST BAD experience with ANY HI BBQ spot!! The 'kahlua pork' looked n smelled like burnt shredded beef!! Dry and distasteful!!🤮 Spam musubis..difficult to bite through nori wrap..was like biting, pulling plastic!! NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!! AVOID!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! I LOST $38😡🤬🖕🏾

Perhaps the true score of the spot should be more like 3.5. The food was perfectly decent, completely predictable, and I do strongly prefer Ono Hawaiian. But, there is plenty of seating so you can bring a large family or more, the ambiance is pretty decent, and it's conveniently located near all the main shopping areas of Glendale, especially the Americana.

Ordered lau lau pork. Lots of taro leaves, pork was not tasty and slightly dry, no piece of fish. Only thing good was mac salad, but very little in the plate. Only 1 person seemed to be manning the place, so service was bad. Shadow of how this location used to be. Don't bother going here. Hopefully the food and service is better at other locations.

I've had L&L before at a different location the food was always amazing. So I was in the area decided to purchase food. I know times are rough right now with shortages and lack of staffing. That's no reason to cheat a customer out of food. Owner was working cashier and was extremely skimpy of the food. Even after I tipped $2 lacked in giving me sauces. The food was dry and got Very little to any portions. Well not be eating here again. I actually been here twice and I left the first time because I had placed an order and I was waiting for it dining in and they refused to let me use the restroom. I asked for money back and left without trying the food. I will not be returning it, but if you're in Santa Monica, I highly recommend the L&L there.

Great food. Makes me miss the islands even more. I enjoy the authenticity of their spam. It is truly Hawaiian food. There is something neat about it. Not very many venues offer such food. When the delivery service dropped off the food it was still nice and warm. They're cold salads were delicious. Meats were perfectly cooked. Again just a very authentic real Hawaiian meal. Like the ones at that actual Hawaiians eat not that the mainlanders eat. Just wanted to straighten that out because well if you ever go to the islands can be very expensive and you end up eating food that you can get in California. But if you talk to the people that live there and are ever so lucky to be able to join them for a dinner you'll find their food is freaking delicious. So if you like authenticity and a real Hawaiian food meal go here now

I can’t say enough good things about the place and the guy who helped us. Roman (the guys who helped) made sure our order was perfect and went the extra mile to make sure we had a perfect meal. The bbq short ribs were amazing! We also got the salad and French fries. So many places close early and thankfully he stays open late. Everything was clean and wonderful. We will back for sure.
