Dr. Dawg

First time coming here and me and the family wasn't a fan. We were excited by the box, only to be left with cold dogs. There was a lot of dry bread that may have been old but not sure. The chilli dog was ok but, mines that I posted was homemade and was way better sorry. The fries were so hard and tasteless but, the few that we could eat wasn't that bad with salt and ketchup.

This is a hidden gem off of Highway 43. Whenever I pick friends or family up from the airport, we stop here. I think it is overlooked because people think there are only hot dogs on the menu. They have a large selection of sandwiches and meats. The service is speedy and staff is friendly. The food is high quality yet affordable. It is so easy to get to and has plenty of parking. The interior doesn’t have a ton of seating but I think a lot of people take out so there shouldn’t be an issue finding a table. I love their Chicago dog because it has a legit sport pepper (most places substitute and it never tastes the same). My husband recommends anybody of the specialty fries! We always get a combination of these. They have house made Dawg Slaw which is made from an old family recipe, definitely worth a try. They have a good amount of desserts and a small beer selection. Be sure to stop on your next trip!!

Known for the hot dogs, we decided to try the burgers..DELICIOUS. Char broiled taste excellent cheeseburgers and fresh cut fries. The only downside. The restaurant was not busy and it took a long time to get food. I can see if they were short on employees but that was not the case here, plenty of workers....just not making burgers.

I sorry, but the quality of the food from a few years ago, back when they opened up has gone downhill. Maybe due to covid they may not be as busy. Asked for poppy seed bun and got a plain stale bun that maybe should of been tossed out few days before hand. I hope their business gets better and improves. They would perhaps go through their buns faster, so they can order fresher ones. Best of luck ...
