I usually don't post reviews but at this point its bothering me. Every time I order I always add for them to cut my sandwich then at delivery its never cut. This time I ordered and asked to be easy on the lettuce. Seems like now that just means no lettuce period. As much as convenient as this location is, right across the street. I will not be ordering from here again.

We have had good experiences with this store in the past. We have placed hundreds of orders and never had a problem. there is a little construction by our business and they are now refusing us delivery. The owner of the store was trying to deliver to us one day and would refuse to listen to my instructions on how to get to us. He said they would stop delivering to us unless we gave them directions on how to get to us. After work that day I printed off a map and drove to the store to give to them so they could find us easier. Thought this would solve the issue of not being able to find us. We placed a couple orders since and they delivered. Placed an order today and they called and said we are now outside their delivery range. Told the nice lady on the phone the situation and she said the owner had wrote on the paper I gave them, that he asked for, that they will no longer deliver to us. The owner was very rude on the phone with the first issue and I find it hard to understand why you would refuse service to someone who went out of their way to make it easier for you to deliver to them. He is not only refusing service to my staff but also to customers here who want to have food delivered to them here as well. Very unprofessional and rude from an owner in a customer service industry.

Ordered food expeciting the usual experience of fast and good. 30 minutes after I ordered, i was informed it may be 30 minutes to another hour before I received it. I asked if they thought it would be soggy, and they said no. OK, I questioned that a bit, and was told by the Manager on 8/12/2021 at 1:20 pm that he could cancel it. I said ok and he just hangs up on me. Superb customer service!

I went in around 2:30pm on a Saturday. I had some time to kill and was pretty hungry. I’m not someone who’s too loyal to any company, but I know how to appreciate life and like to think I know a thing or two about how to work hard and provide genuine service. Something people need to start learning about again. I’ll add that I don’t go out in public thinking I know everything and that I’m entitled. Anyway, the menu is kinda intimidating because I’m not used to reading a lot about food, and I’m not really knowledgeable on cooking at all I just get by. I just told them I’m not ready yet, and the staff was perfectly patient and happy to answer any questions I had. I wasn’t sure how the toppings work, or every detail of what comes on the sub if you just order it straight up. Props to the cashier. He knew what he was selling and told me everything. Pretty helpful to have knowledge of what you’re selling even if it’s just a sandwich. Turns out I didn’t have to add mayo because it’s already on the sub and I didn’t want extra. Sounds simple... because it is when you ask questions. I was feeling like exploring so I tried the Jimmy Mustard. To be honest I don’t know if I could distinguish it when I was eating, but it definitely didn’t hurt. Everything looked stocked up and organized. The counters were shiny, the floors were clear and dry, glass wasn’t smudged. I ordered the #7, a spicy Italian sub. Some chips and a drink. The person making the sub earned my respect. He was fast but managed to create something with balance and aesthetic, like I didn’t throw my 12 bucks away. The chips here are pretty crunchy and have good flavor, but they’re like the potato chips where you can actually tell they’re made from a potato. I guess that pairs pretty well with the sandwich. They’re following some Covid19 guidelines so it can be kinda hard to hear, but at least they still have some tables to sit down. They’re all booths. Honestly I was pretty full after I ate because my order had a lot of cold cuts. I probably could have saved it for later, but it was tasting good and I was going to be walking around later so I just finished it off. The place is clean, but there’s a few fruit flies. Not overwhelming, seemed normal for the vibe. Once again this isn’t extreme luxury, that’s not even what you want, to appreciate true luxury you have to understand principles deeper than “it’s a ridiculous amount of money”. That’s for another time and a different review though. The atmosphere was cool, kinda like I escaped the world for awhile and just sat down in a underground sub station. Funny how that works. The music is chill. There is some signs that give the place some personality, you can’t even read every word on them because they probably know people don’t read them. They have WiFi. Overall the quality is pretty good considering the scale that Jimmy Johns serves. And the staff serving it had good chemistry with each other. I’m definitely not mad at spending time or money here. It would be fun to see this place busy in a world without a pandemic, where people take care of their bodies, and where people in poverty and on the brinks of starvation aren’t on the back of your mind. I’m sure people going through it right now would be stunned by the service you can get right here in a casual spot like Glendale. For me I’ll just appreciate it and find gratitude.
