The Turmut-hoer

We booked a Table, On arriving we were told, You can sit anywhere !!! Not welcoming, when you have friends. On going to order, having 2 vouchers for sizzlers, were told had to be done seperately ! 3 ordered the same starters, thus hoping to get 3 different sauces as stated on menu!! we were not asked, if we wanted this , & all 3 came out with same sauce !!!!! The meals were fine, with a very attentive lady serving us, constantly coming back to check.

We visited the Turmut Hoer for lunch on weds 16th August (4 people including my very fussy elderly mother). On arrival staff were really polite and helpful, the tables were clean (not sticky!), and there were plenty of condiments on the tables. We had Lasagne (really tasty!) Served with 2 slices of garlic bread (2 for £11 menu), 2 x southern fried chicken wrap with sweet potato fries and a fish & chips from the 2 for £11 menu (for my picky mother). She said "The fish & chips were lovely, it was so big I won't need to have any tea". Believe me, if she could have found fault, she would have. Caroline the manager checked on us to make sure everything was OK and if there was anything else we needed. Overall a lovely meal and we will be returning. Note - there are plenty of signs reminding you to enter your car reg at the counter to avoid having to pay parking fees.

We had a meal at the Turmut Hoer first time for a very long time, I had the Sizzling grilled chicken on a bed of vegetables, wow that is the best meal I’ve had for ages it was fantastic. Also the staff are lovely and work really hard. Will definitely be going there again soon, thanks also to the chef.
