Nothing Bundt Cakes

I have previously tried their cakes, no doubt they are good. My complain is regarding their service. It is downright rude and unacceptable. I had a pick up order scheduled on a Sunday morning at 9 AM through their portal. These are the events that transpired. I arrive at 9:30. Door is locked. I call. No one picks up. I decide to wait half an hour in my car. No big deal. Door opens at 10. I say I had a pickup order, salesperson takes my info and brings the cake. Before leaving I inform the salesperson that I had to wait. Before I can finish she cuts me off and says the store opens at 10. I ask then why did you have an option to pick up at 9? She flatly replies "I don't take care of that". So far I am totally understanding of her situation. Then I say okay, perhaps you can talk to the concerned personnel. This is where things get unacceptable. She just leaves me and starts talking to another customer. A simple "sorry for the inconvenience, we will look into the portal issue" would have sufficed and I would have left it there. Anyways. Cake is good. Service is bad. That's all.

Make sure you have your own fork if you want to treat yourself to an afternoon cake. Apparently this store doesn’t give forks due to covid. Every other food establishment seems to be able to give out forks with purchase of food, maybe there is a special clause for bakeries.....probably not. Not to mention the staff had a bad attitude. I won’t return....Anna’s always give forks with their treats.

If I could give this place a zero I would. There were 2 people in line when I arrived, one was almost finished, the next person went in and 15 very long min later the other person working decided to look up.. to my amazement she asked if I'd been helped as if she had no idea if I'd been served yet in spite of her watching me fret over not recieving any service. The one customer ahead of me was deep in conversation with the other clerk. I hope her cake was worth it. So finally it was my turn, I'd read the menu and picked what I'd order. Then I was told they didn't have that flavor.... there's not much variety at this shop just overpriced plain looking bundt cakes, so I asked for something different, nope didn't have that.. the clerk was not going to make this easy for me, so I asked her what they did have, she did not know but at least she disappeared to go ask . .. nope they didn't have anything other than 2 large super expensives bundts in a flavor I did not want AND they would not have ANYTHING else until tommarow. It was not particularly late. I guess the woman ahead of me got the last one.... What kind of cake shop does not have cakes!!! I did notice in addition to the high prices to have it decorated with no frosting you get to pay another $10, and I don't know, wait a week for it? I will not return, no samples, no friendliness, not helpful and no cake!!! PS I went to another cake shop, 2 min wait, smiles, sweet people, much better prices, pretty cakes that look and smell yummy with no hole in the middle and FREE emblishment.

Good product, but excessive wait times in the store. We ordered a dozen bundtinis to be picked up in the afternoon. The product was ready in a timely manner (and yes they were delicious), but I was nearly late to my event because it took so long to pick it up. There were two people in front of me in line, but only one person on the front register and a manager in the back room whom I didn't see. I was nearly late to my event because I hadn't counted on waiting for 12 minutes to do a 30-second transaction. They need to find a way to up their customer service game to match the deliciousness of their cakes. Hopefully, this was just a one-time thing.

I love the store in Palm Desert and when visiting family in Santa Barbara we found out they had never tasted a NBC. So I Googled and found this store. First there were no samples out and when I asked the employee grumpily said she could go in the back and get some. I looked surprised and said that she didn't need to.Then I had 2 free bundtlets from punchcards which I redeemed, but did not get punches for the others I purchased. Finally, I noticed that there was a free tote if we purchased 4 bundtlets. I asked about getting one and was told, "no, those are only for customers who purchase 4 and you got 2 free so you don't get one." With customer service like this, I'm not surprised that there were no other customers in the store. So glad the store in Palm Desert is a happier place!
