Popping Bottles

Fun place. Very casual. On Lake Granbury and marina. Fish tacos were amazing. Made with cod or shrimp. Can order grilled or fried. Topped right, cabbage instead of lettuce. Wonderful sauce! Generous portions. Split the salad with cranberries and pecans. Was plenty of food. Has a cute bakery with cupcakes in many flavors. They have a shop as well, with some fun gifts, clothing, sandals, and flip flops.

First time here. So was odd set up. But appeared if you been here before you knew what to do. Stood in line placed order found a seat. Lots of seating indoors and right on the water too. Typical pub food. Tacos were a big hit. The cod was good but pretty small and thin for the 3 pieces I received. And nice portion of fries. Buy beer and other drinks at different place inside. Staff friendly and seemed to be well staffed. Geese eagerly waiting for an errant chip or anything else that might come their way. Oh and a nice little dessert shop with cupcakes and other sweets.

I’m giving it 2 stars because half the food was great and the other half was AWFUL! My husbands Philly cheesesteak sandwich was delicious. The fish tacos were SOOOOO SOOOOO BAD. I took 2 small bites and couldn’t eat them anymore. I honestly thought the atmosphere was fun, it didn’t bother me to have to go get your own food, drinks, & chips like others have posted on here. The chips and salsa were great, the store upfront is cute, the sweet shop smelt great. We didn’t purchase anything from there so I can’t judge it’s taste. We fed the ducks, geese, & fish our left over French fries which they loved. I guess this restaurant is hit or miss based on what you order.

Order at the counter and then sit. We had grilled fish tacos and a cod basket. The basket had two cod pieces and one catfish—possibly in error—which my lunch companion preferred not to eat. Pleasant atmosphere right on the water at Granbury Lake. A little less volume on the music would have been nice to enjoy the sounds of the lakefront.

More of a canteen than a restaurant. Really didn't like it at all. Junk fast food, basic American. Nothing interesting. Didn't even have the desire to stay for lunch here. No pretty view. All you see outside is the marina and the docked boats. Sorry. But for locals it seems to be crowded. I guess it is a matter of taste and culture 🤷‍♀️
