Stopped in for a quick beer and some food. Bar wasn't terribly busy. Sat at the bar and watched 2 bartenders visit, pour a few drinks and finally make their way to take my drink order. They went about their business, chatting, serving drinks, I finally was able up flag one down and all for a menu. More than 10 minutes later with both bartenders just visiting with each other I finally asked if I was able to order. They seemed very annoyed that I interrupted them. Food was quite good. I think the servers picked up I was annoyed and the service got better. Overall good beer, good food. Need servers who care.

Update about 1 year (7/25/17) later I'm in town again. Thought I'd try it out again. Same deal again, wings good, pulled pork good, brisket was a disaster! Brisket was black all around, tough & crazy dry. I'm sorry, but I do not think this place knows how to make brisket. Also the waitress was very friendly and understanding about the brisket.
The wings are delicious, pulled pork is very good also. I was a little disappointed with the brisket and portion size. But the food was really good and also the bbq sauces. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Went in on April Fools and wasn't sure if the menu prices were a joke or not, sadly they weren't. Very expensive food for the quality and quantity; it's not bad, but could use a price cut or some improvement.
I had the prime rib sandwich (sounded great on paper) because I wasn't going to pay $20 for beef briquette, and it wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about - I was slightly disappointed. Seven of us went in for dinner, we all agreed it was just alright.
Service was decent, very polite and what not, but could had been faster and a bit more informed on the menu (at least portion sizes)
Restaurant looks like a newer one and was clean, but the "just alright" food and service makes me want to spend my money elsewhere; a Famous Daves or Texas Roadhouse would had done the job just fine and for about $6-$8 less.
Again, not terrible, but not my first choice on dining in Grand Forks.

Service was good. Food came fast. We had heard good things about this place, our experience confirmed this. All around we were impressed. Everyone was happy with the food. I had the Wild Hog Wings, they were great. Beer cheese soup was also very good. Maybe a little more pricey than the average joint, but definitely a place we will go again.

Great beer, great atmosphere, generally good food. Good lunch deals.
But.
Seems to my palate that everything is over cooked to a point of dryness at Wild Hog - ribs, brisket, pulled pork, hog wings (pork shank) - I've tried lots of things. Probably a regional or preference issue - I prefer Kansas City BBQ, but adjusting the smoking time and temp might solve the issue.
Also somewhat expensive for BBQ. But, really, not bad.

Food was really great, it's too bad our service was terrible. Our waiter was rude and walked away from us while asking him questions. There were six of us at one table and we had ordered two appetizers along with one entree per person. Keep in mind this place was not busy, only half of the tables were taken. We received our appetizers after an hour and our entrees around 30 minutes after that. After taking our order our waiter did not stop by the table, the bus boy ended up bring our food out. We ended up receiving our meals one plate at a time and they failed to bring out one entree and another persons sides. We ended up telling the manager about what happened after we had finished the meals we had received. They charged us for all of our meals and drinks so we had to ask the manager to remove the items we did not receive. After another half hour the manager returned with our modified bill. our visit lasted around 3 hours as we had to wait for everything.

The meal came out minutes after getting our soup and salad. A little time to eat that would be great. The tortilla soup was awesome. The ribs however, were overcooked and dry and the potatoes were cold. A baked potato choice would be a plus. The bathrooms were not clean!

Wild Hog was a disappoint for us on Saturday, surprised the menu was changed to accommodate Red Pepper, instead of their tradition Wild Hog menu. Food was less then acceptable, taste was really off, had better food at other Mexican Restaurants in Grand Forks. We came for the traditional Wild Hog Menu. Room is small and tables are so close together, its like eating family style.. The only good thing was the waitress was fantastic.
