The Farmers Arms

This is one of the best country pubs to dine in. We where welcomed in so warmly. Lunch treat for my family in a super special location but with the best service. Steph our server was amazing and made our experience so special with her knowledge of the menu and her attention. Lovely place and definitely recommend as a destination to get to.

Brilliant find, found this pub by chance whilst looking for somewhere to grab tea and waiting for the traffic to die down. And I was not disappointed, extremely tasty dishes, I had scallops and monkfish from the specials and then am Eton mess parfait. The scallops and monkfish where cooked to perfection with a myriad of complementary flavours. Very friendly service. Can't wait to take the other half.

Visited here tonight, the pub is very nice and cosy, especially at Xmas! The food tasted good however the duck dish did not come with a duck croquette as listed on the menu. When I asked the waiter he said they had run out so we were given extra veg... I feel like this should have been pointed out when ordering as for £22 I think it is quite steep for a small duck leg and loads of veg. I probably would have ordered something else, adding a croquette adds a little something special (in my opinion) so without it it was just a bit... boring. Also, as we were leaving we noticed a specials board with some amazing dishes listed, I wish we were told about the specials, I feel like I missed out!

We enjoyed a meal here for the first time last night. Firstly the staff where impeccable. So friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. The pub itself is beautiful, they have a fantastic choice of drinks and wine. Now the food! Wow! Fresh, tasty, and looked beautiful! We liked the idea of tge private dining option so will hopefully use that option with family for a special occasion. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, we’ll be back.
