N&n Vietnamese Kitchen 2

Ordered online via menulog and was very impressed. My order showed up a lot quicker than the anticipated delivery time and the food was really nice. Generous portions (ordered a pho and a serve of rice paper rolls) and everything tasted fresh. Thumbs up for the free prawn crackers and the bag full of garnishings, a very generous serve of bean shoots, fresh basil, lemon and firey hot chillies. Very impressive.

I'm not generally one to leave negative reviews, but I'm so frustrated!!! This is the SECOND time this has happened, so I will not be trying again. I called Sunday night to make sure they were open for dinner Monday night. The woman on the phone said "yes, we are open". I double confirmed, "Ok, you're definitely open for dinner tomorrow night? I'm driving from an hour away to meet my friend." (it's halfway between us, but we could have gone to Preston to a MUCH BETTER Vietnamese restaurant) "Yes, yes, we are open tomorrow night!" I said "ok, thanks" and hung up the phone. I still felt a little uneasy due to them being closed last time I had checked in advance and had been told they were open, so I decided to ALSO make a reservation. I reserved a table for two at 7:30pm. All fine. Flash forward to 7:30 Monday night (yesterday) and I'm standing at the door. No lights on, a flashing menu in the window is the only sign of life, and a big "closed" sign on the door. Nothing sent to me even though I had a reservation! After being keen for Vietnamese all day, and Pho 999 being closed Mondays which is where I usually go in Greensborough, it was too late to go to Preston so we had to go to tables on the green, where there is no Vietnamese. If you're running a business, you can't just open and close whenever, but have regular hours published online and on your door?? and if someone calls to check, and/or makes a reservation..... TELL THEM YOU'RE NOT OPEN????
