Mcinnis' 12 Bone Bbq

Place is located on a weird place but is super clean and staff friendly. The food was made to order and super tasty. A very good size portion of food and not bad on prices. It's worth the drive to eat there. We had pork fried and smothered pork chop, rice and gravy, okra, greens, potato salad, macand cheese. All delicious.

I ordered the brisket plate and received 3 thin slices of dry brisket with a side order of cabbage and okra. I paid almost 16.00. The product wasn't totally bad but the proportions were simply disappointing! The brisket was very thinly sliced and I paid a NY price in Mississippi for something that wasn't enjoyable at all.

So let me tell you about this place.... it was my first time here and definitely not my last! This is a newer BBQ Joint on the Coast found in the Heart of Gulfport. 12 Bone BBQ is simply AMAZING! The sauce on the tender ribs is a game changer, it has sweet and spicy taste. The price is right on the money with the quality of food you will get! This place does not disappoint! It has outdoor sitting and also curbside pickup! They even have their own radio station that also tells you when your order is ready! Great customer service! Can’t wait to go back to try more food! They also have daily specials as well!

Update: This place was better the second time. Still haven't had the fried chicken but the brisket was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Mac and cheese was delicious as was the peach cobbler. Next time the fried chicken for sure. Seems it gets better every time. To start I love places you walk into and it looks ordinary and the food and the people are extraordinary. It is family operated and very friendly. Service was excellent and food was delicious. I especially liked the gumbo. It was full of shrimp sausage and chicken. I went in for some fried chicken, my Achilles heel, but unfortunately they had sold out. Instead I got the fish okra and mac and cheese. It was awesome. I will definitely be back. Probably best place near the airport if not Gulfport. Please, definitely give it a try, I can't say enough about it.

Cooking ribs in an oven and throwing a bunch of bbq sauce on them, does not make it bbq. I was in there recently and the food was nasty. We ordered ribs and nothing was grilled. It was cooked in the oven. The food was tasteless. The mac and cheese....I don't know what it was, but it wasn't good. I should have followed my mind when I pulled up and didn't smell any bbq. At the very least the food could be seasoned. Maybe change the name but don't call it bbq if it is not on the grill.
