Cafe 1310

The food was horrible. The waitress was good, but when members of our party expressed their concerns about the freshness of the seafood, Management did not take any responsibility. She just stated it couldn't be spoiled because it just arrived that day. The crab claws and shrimp had a distinct, strong ammonia smell. Please think twice before dining here.

Food is decent. Crab claws were not good. Chef salad was huge. Club sandwich was generic. Service is lacking. Several ordered items were wrong, although I really do think that hand held thing is what screwed her up, it's such a waste. If you wrote it down and then had to double check when you go to ring it in, maybe half our order wouldn't have been wrong. Felt very cold with just dropping off things and walking away. Never said thanks for coming or bye, or really anything, just started clearing plates in silence.

Would have given a 0 if I could! We went for brunch husband ordered shrimp and grits and beignets I ordered the fried green tomato crab stack. First they told my husband they were out of grits and had to make more and it would be about 15 minutes so he changed his order to chicken and waffles. We finally got our food about 30 minutes later (6 tables in the whole place) his waffle was cold and mushy and his piece of chicken about turned to sawdust when he broke it in half (meanwhile I saw two orders of shrimp and grits go out). My order was just as bad. Tomatoes greasy and mushy, crab cake full of shell, burnt tasting but raw, sauce was broken and oily and the crawfish were like rubber. Never even got our beignets. We asked for our check and informed the waitress that this was terrible. She said “oh your beignets are ready do you want to take them to go!” No we wanted them 30 minutes ago!!! The waitress got the manager and we tried to explain to him what was wrong with the food and he did not want to hear it. He took the beignets off but that was it, even though we had literally eaten 3 bites. Very disappointing experience!!!

So my husband and I decided to stop by and have some dinner here at The District on The Alley and we truly enjoyed ourselves, our waiter Jimmy was awesome the food was amazing my husband had the Blackened Red Fish and I had the Shrimp I have to say I was super impressed with the interior love the quaint country style feel of the location the menus are super unique printed on Paper Bags. This restaurant is still new and has only been opened a little over a month so please be patient with them as they are still working the kinks out but I do believe once everyone has settled into their positions and rythem they will be flawless. Will definitely be back...

Recently opened, The District on the Alley was a success for us at every level. Our server was super friendly and helped suggest several dishes. And all of the food was EXCELLENT. The Cheese Bomb appetizer was great, for two people. (The dipping sauce would have been delicious on anything.) The District Burger was enormous, well seasoned, and perfectly prepared. The shrimp basket was also huge and the homemade chips rocked. Big congrats to Chef Alonso and his staff for raising the bar in downtown Gulfport!

The food here is up to par with any 5 star restaurant I have ever been too. I have spent 150$ on a meal for 2 and here it's a 3rd of the price for as good or if not better of a meal. My server and waitress (shelby and anita) were the most amazing to die for dull. I highly recommend this restaurant for either a family or date night. If you see Mr Rob give him a good handshake and let him know how amazing the place is. Also there is a sky bar sorry I did not go.

We arrived at 5:45 to a semi empty restaurant. Got seated quickly and our server even got our drinks quickly. But for some unknown reason to us, it took 35 minutes for our 4 appetizers to show up. Then not very quickly the remaining 3 appetizers came out. We ordered our entrees around 6:45, and ended up getting it packed up to go because by 7:10 we still didn't have our entrees. It was mainly pasta and salad ... I'm not sure what the problem was because it wasn't very busy, and everyone else was getting their food. Just not our table of 6. Overall the food tasted fine, maybe a smidge overpriced, but the wait was preposterous. We were there an hour and forty five minutes and ate 6 appetizers (two of which was burnt queso) and had 3 drinks. Basically don't come here if you're in any bit of a rush.

First time here for husband and me. Delicious deviled eggs; the meatball in marinara sauce with angel hair pasta was fantastic. The ceasar salad is unique and wonderful as the lettuce has a smoked flavor (yes, smoked- it's GREAT). Hagen (sorry if this spelling is incorrect) was our server and she is awesome. We will be back and we will ask for her
