Hungry Gannet

we had the most fabulous breakfast here a few weeks back. Firstly, this place has done everything right, from the decor to the food, the portions and the pricing. The owner told me its his first time running a food establishment and unlike jaded tired out cafes, with little care about their service and what they do...The Hungry Gannet has been well thought out with immigration and care. I have just come back from New Zealand where I was blown away by the cafe culture and dreaded going back to the lack lustre food choices we have....then we discovered The Hungry Gannet.....totally fantastic....I only wish he had a shop in EK or franchised, he has revolutionised the usual dreary British cafe and brought standards and imagination back, well done! 😋

First and certainly will not be out last visit. Served by the owner himself. Took time to chat to his customers. First class service from all the team. Good and drinks were if a high quality and at competitor local value. Cake display and selection excellent breakfast items of high standard and speciality dishes choices for all tastes

First time here, clean, nice staff, looks like a good selection of hot and cold rolls/sandwiches/baguettes as well as ice cream and slushies. Bought breakfast, good quality b/rolls that are crisp and light quality b/pudding and sausage. Only gripe would be lazy for me is cash only(there is a cash machine about 5 steps away) and maybe a wee napkin in the bag with the rolls for a messy eater like me, but I should have asked for that 😉 would go again if I'm in the area Update:still a good place to eat, and locals think so too, busy at lunch so either leave time be early 😉
