El Mexicano Zapata Cantina Hamilton

We went here on our honeymoon, we're originally from Sydney but I would say this is the best Mexican I've ever had. Highly recommend the enchiladas they were spicy, sweet with the right amount of cheese. The sauces were amazing. The overall service had a really nice homely family vibe making you feel like you were getting authentic food and experiences. Would love to go again next time I'm in Hamilton.

Such a great dining experience. Went out for lunch with a friend and from the get go i was treated by the most amazing team. both our servers were great but another gentleman who spoke to us was also so lovely and even offered to take our photos. the food is divine and definitely doesn’t hold back on flavour as i feel most international cuisine restaurants do.

Overall best experience. I loved the menu they have...so much to choose from especially if you are vegan or vegetarian. I ordered a vegetarian dish and it was awesome. I will definitely visit again. Highly recommended and go to from me. If you are visiting for lunch may be okay not to book but for dinner you should book in advance. They have options for reservations.

This place has very tasty dishes. I ate the vegetarian chimichunga and it was extremely delicious. The portion sizes are very large so you get your money's worth. It also means you don't have to order more dishes because of how filling they are. The restaurant is slightly cramped but not enough to really bother you if the restaurant isn't busy. Previously, i ordered online pickupfrom this restaurant and the staff were kind enough to call me that my order was ready for pick up. The level of service is top notch.

My friends and I tried this spot for the first time and this didnt disappoint! Considering it was 6pm on a Saturday night and we didnt reserve a table we tried our luck as a walk in reservation and were lucky to get an outside table👌🏽 I'd recommend booking as it was a full house inside😊 Staff and service were amazing.. staff were so attentive we had 4 different friendly staff members wait on our table which is so awesome! Sucha welcoming feeling! Food came out promptly I was very impressed considering our what we ordered.. we actually couldnt fit all our plates on our table😂 Alot of people stopped to look at our table of food with nodds of approval so I'd say you have a few more customers coming your way!😊 Everything we ordered was amazingly good! My favourite was the jalapeno poppers.. ive never seen them so big.. but they were also sooo delicious👌🏽 Ceviche was also a winner for me so refreshing and tasty, Im glad we tried it considering its only available for weekend specials. Awesome variety of sauces, some with a great chillie kick. Oh and the Enchaladas were sooo yumm! Another winner! Prices are reasonable.. me and two friends ordered a tonne of food to share and taste and our bill came up to $55 each but considering what we order we thought that was sooo cheap! We ordered the following!🐷😂 EL QUESO CON CHORIZO DIP JALAPEÑO POPPERS x2 MEXICAN FRIED BREAD QUESADILLA - BEEF PAPAS FRITAS con CARNE y QUESO FUNDIDO - CHICKEN ENCHILADA - PORK CEVICHE de PESCADO And drinks! Overall defs happy this place has opened up in Hamilton. New fave Mexican spot for me! Highly recommend🥰👌🏽

Worth visiting Hamilton just for this. Quite simply Hamilton’s best Mexican. The restaurant feels clean, fresh and funky! Friendly, polite, attentive and incredibly efficient staff. Speedy service with drinks and food coming quickly. Good selection of dishes including vegetarian options and amazing tastes. Best done tapas style so you can experience more amazing flavours. Each dish comes with delicious sauces or dips. Most dishes are under $20. Also they stock a good selection of Mexican drinks, cocktails and mocktails. A big dinner for two with drinks will cost about $80-100.
