PITA PIT 118 N Cate St, Hammond, LA 70401 Let me start out by saying all businesses are essential! From the small mom-and-pop restaurants like the one I just left to the dog groomer that does it out of her home. They are feeding our economy, all workers are essential!! This essential workers/business only terminology needs to get thrown in the F-ing garbage! I placed an order online and started out to pick it up. Being the first time I go here, I used Google maps. 8:28 PM they were making our dinner. I had a minor panic attack because Maps said they closed at 8 pm. (Only due to the Covid BS.) I get here and the door was unlocked and the Amazing woman behind the counter said that she was preparing our food. In all this insanity, she was more than willing to make our order last minute. I highly recommend Pita Pit! Good attitude, amazing food, great hospitality! Y'all definitely need to come to PITA PIT and patronize them they are simply amazing and it's our business to them that will keep this local home grown business open and alive and surviving through all this insanity!! PLEASE VISIT THEM SO THEY CAN KEEP THEIR DOORS OPEN IN THIS DIFFICULT TIME WE ARE ALL IN! Thank you PITA PIT!! ❤️

They have new owners now. There’s only one guy in there working. 1 pm the middle of lunch rush, 4 pairs of people in line. He was nice but clearly not cut out for the job. Quite slow. The place was dirty, from the plastic cookie box, which I wiped with a baby wipe, so much grease on it from the grill. Let’s not even talk about the bathrooms, which smelled like urine. One was out of order....or the rest of the restaurant. Floors were sticky, counter tops dirty. He tore my pita, I didn’t have him make it over due to the people already walking out the door after waiting.

Recently visited here with my fiance. Having been a huge fan of the Pita Pit in my home state, I was excited to find one here in Louisiana, and I was hoping it would be just as good. This location blew my expectations out of the water- it was extremely clean and well-kept, had a wonderfully large dining area, delicious food, and some of the friendliest staff I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. I was thrilled, and my partner (who had never eaten at a Pita Pit before) absolutely loved it as well. Despite it being quite a far distance from our home, we fully intend to make the journey again and become repeat customers. Absolutely outstanding service!

Went in for a delicious bite with 1 yr old who absolutely loved it! There was only one woman working while we were there, but she kept pace very well and even checked on us. Only thing I'd ask for is maybe some healthier options as a side instead of chips and cookies, even of it were to be a lite slaw. And I know it isn't your typical place to bring a toddler for lunch date, but a high chair would've been great.

They try, but every single time I've ordered in the past month it's either been wrong, bad, or lacking something I paid for. It takes an hour to deliver something so simple and even with the more than enough time given I still deal with rude drivers and missing food. Not to mention what I got today I had to throw out because the ingredients tasted old. Most staff is friendly, but they need to step their game up.

I used to love this place but it seems like they are trying to recover some of their losses from the shutdown by screwing over the customer. I went in as soon as yall reopened and was very disappointed. I thought to myself well I can't expect greatness every single time. Everyone screws up from time to time. Wrong. I went in two more times and the same problem occurred. Skimpy two bite pitas. I would have to get three of these to make what I was getting before the shutdown. Cheap people over there.
