Shane's Rib Shack

Excellent food at a good price. I like to try new local restaurants when I travel and this was a pleasantly successful experiment. I had the smothered pork sandwich with mac & cheese...hubby had Big Daddy (chopped pork sandwich). Pork was good (hubby's had a little fat in it); smothered in cole slaw which was tasty; mac was excellent! Music could have been more current. Restroom was clean.

I wanted to try a different place with boneless wings. Upon arrival we were greeted then went to take a seat, after a few minutes we realized you have to order at the counter. So we ordered, waited over 30 minutes to be presented with some of the driest boneless wings ever. The girl who brought us the food said "Is that right?" , with a "I don't want to be here" look and attitude. My husband's burger looked as if it had been stomped on, and he was given the butt end of the tomatoe on the side. Food quality could have been much better. Finally, the tables have so much residue on them, everything sticks to them. You'd think with the previous reviews stating the tables are gross, that they would invest in some more. Probably won't be back, sonic has better boneless wings, and McDonald new bbq burger outshines that smushed Cowboy burger any day.

We tried this place for the first time today and we were not let down. The food was awesome, was juicy and full of flavor and just melts in your mouth. Most BBQ restaurants cover up the taste by drowning the meat in sauce or the meat is so tough that you feel like your jaw is about to fall off from all the chew just to get a bite down but, not at Shane's, you get the full effect of the smoky flavor. The ribs, the meat just falls right off the bones. Plenty of bang for the buck. Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area.

The service was just ok. We didn't have to wait very long for our food. Our wings were fresh and hot. My kids grilled cheese was cooked very well. Why only 4 stars instead of 5? The tea was terrible, sweet tea was pure sugar tasting, and the unsweet tea tasted like it was from the day before. The service was just ok because no one ever came back to ask how our food was and asked if were good. We didn't have anyone refill our drinks. Other than that we will be going back there to try their other foods.

Ordered my food for pick up and informed the employee on the phone that I will be using a gift card to pay and she told me it would be no problem. Drove 20 minutes to go pick up food and got there and had to wait 15 mins at counter for them to tell me they have no way to accept their own gift cards. The lady called the owner on the phone and the owner told her to tell me 2 weeks and they will have "new system". *UPDATE: Owner reached out to me and accepted the gift card and explained the issue.
