Food & ice cream are good. Nothing on the menu is so unique you would make it a destination. HOWEVER, what makes it unique is the small old time diner feel. Always has friendly staff. Also it sits next to the Illinois River in scenic Calhoun County. All this makes it worth stopping. Bring cash- no cards.

Home cooked goodness in a jiffy. Requested a quick meal to go, was hungry but had to get home for animals. Within 5 minuets the lady was at the takeout window. I was so surprised at the meal that was put together, packaged securely with napkins and fork. Oh, and it was tasty too. Will be back, so many options to choose from.

Tried once before and had to come back. The food is amazing and huge portions. The staff are awesome. Came in from St Peters just for lunch today and was not disappointed.

Great little place in Hardin just south of the bridge. Great burgers (they’re big, order conservatively) and catfish fritters. Pretty extensive menu of food, drinks, and ice cream. First time here. Will definitely be back.
