New Ground

Made my 2nd visit to New Ground on Friday, it's a lovely place with a very chilled atmosphere, good music but at a low enough volume that you're aware of it but not having to raise your voice to be heard. The food is lovely and the service is great, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. My first visit was just for coffee and despite them having a private function in the main part of the cafe they managed to seat 3 of us just for drinks and the service we received definitely wasn't impacted by them already being very busy. My 2nd visit was for lunch, ended up being there for 4 hours as it was such a lovely atmosphere and reasonably priced so didn't break the bank to order a couple of extra teas and coffees for the duration of our visit. I'm sure there will be a 3rd visit in the not too distant future 👍

Newground is a great little spot in newhall, food is almost always perfect! Service from the younger ones is either a bit sore or there is a language barrier. Drinks guaranteed take minimum of 10 mins with is annoying when it’s not ever coffee! That’s also if they have the drink in stock which is a regular occurrence. Then there is karen who is like a little ray of sunshine at yours! She always makes a fuss of you when you walk in, we’ve just had a baby and she really goes out of her way to ask how we are doing and how little one is. She makes this place special. Note - look after her (!) she makes the difference at NewGround.

I recently was invited to chill out and had the pleasure of visiting the Newhall Cafe. It was a nice experience. We were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior was open and airy, creating a relaxed and comfortable ambience. Whether you're a fan of breakfast classics, light salads, hearty sandwiches, or desserts, this cafe has something to satisfy every craving. The good was fresh, and the dishes were nicely presented, reflecting the care and attention to detail put into each plate. The friendly service at the Newhall Cafe was another aspect that truly elevated the overall experience. The staff were more than happy to help with my choices, answer any questions, and ensure that we felt welcome. Aside from the great food and service, the interior design made clever use of natural light, creating a bright and refreshing environment. The spacious layout allowed for comfortable seating and didn't feel crowded, even during busy periods. Whether you're looking for a cosy corner to enjoy a book or a communal table to catch up with friends, the Newhall Cafe offers plenty of seating options to suit your needs.

We were fully content with the breakfast we had at New Ground Cafe. We turned up on a Monday morning, hence why they accomodated seven people easily and our breakfast was also made quickly. The ingredient were varied and portions were also decent. There were also plant-based options which some of us truly valued. As for the facilities, the unisex toilets did not appeal to us at all, however this did not greatly affect our overall experience.

Food is good. Weirdly the staff were fairly rude when I went this time and I've never experienced that in here before. Also Not the restaurants fault but you have absolutely no signal or data in this place so something to bare in mind. They do have WiFi but super slow. On the higher end of prices for breakfast but they do use quality ingredients.
