A great bbq place located right in Harrisburg. We stopped there on the way to the airport in Indiana. The sweet tea is amazing and just like the good stuff down South! They have great food and fries. We bought a bunch of desserts that were freshly made and tasted great!!! My son loved the cookies. We will definitely be back.

The people were nice, I ordered3 pies from this restaurant for Christmas dinner, have not had their food before but I was told their pies were really good. I ordered Apple, chocolate and pecan, the apple was Horrible, it was as if someone sprinkled apple slices with a little bit of Cinnamon and sugar dumped them in a nasty lard tasting crust with no filling, literally just apples and dried out! The chocolate pie tasted like water downed pudding and nasty lard crust, another gross pie. The pecan was so good and soggy that when it was cut it literally came apart while lifting the cutting knife another gross mess! 😝 We did not have very good pies and I will never buy from them again.

I don’t know if they’ve got new owners or a new cook, but not near as good the last month or so. They changed the fries from nice, tasty and crisp to “homemade”. Had them a few weeks ago, very greasy. Today at lunch hour, greasy and colder than room temp. The brisket sandwich was 1/4 fat I had to cut off before eating. $14 for a terrible lunch. I’ll be looking for a new bbq place now..it’s a shame.

First smells hit me cross the road at southern Illinois laundry, when I walked in I was greeted by our server Macy. She was a sweetheart who knew just what we needed. Brought her favorite sauces for our lunch that was a darn good deal "6 dollar pulled shoulder and fries" and even gave us some local camping tips on where to go and site see. Lots of history in this place, a memorial wall to fallen service men of the area. Stop in and check them out, BBQ, catfish, all the fixes!
