Dave's Taverna Express

Great! The views from outside on the patio are amazing! The food was wonderful and they served generous portions. Good vegetarian options and a great place to grab wings, pizza and your favorite Greek dish. They offer a good selection of craft beer. The service was awesome and although we were there on a slow night, I imagine the place is super busy on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will be back!

My worst dining experience ever. My Husband I came in and the service was horrible. We got seated and the server took 20 minutes to greet us, after waiting another 20-30 minutes for her to bring us our drinks, we had to leave because they weren't even busy. And we hadn't placed our order yet. I waited a couple months and decided to try delivery. I called and they said it would take 20-30 minutes. After waiting an hour for my food I called and they said that they didn't have a delivery driver and that it would at least be another half hour. I only live about 2 minutes away and I left my number, if they had called me I could have just picked up the order. But instead i just waited for cold food.

Called to order take out. They said they had a function going on at the restaurant and they were busy, so it might take about 35 minutes. No problem, I went there to pick up my food about 35 minutes later. No one was sitting inside the restaurant, there were about 30 people seated outside. A woman was sitting beside the front counter apparently waiting for her food. I went up to pick up my order and they said it'd be about 10 minutes. Not a big deal, another 10 minutes, whatever. 45 minutes later the woman waiting with me had still not gotten the sandwich she ordered. She asked about it and got an apologetic but ultimately worthless response. Only after one staff member asked another staff member about our orders did my food come out. They couldn't handle having 30 patrons in their restaurant, I can't imagine how terrible it would be if the place was actually busy. The food was fine, though my pasta was only warm, not hot. The chips were pretty bad.

I would give less than 1 star if I could. By far the worst service and food I've ever had from a "restaurant". We didn't see a server for 30 minutes for even drinks. Once we did have a server(Morgan) she was super sweet and accommodating and did the best she could. We waited 2 1/2 hours for our food before we decided that it just wasn't worth it. We went to inform our server that we just couldn't wait any longer and she tells us our food just came out. So we said okay and got our food in to go boxes and went out to the car to eat. When I say the absolute worst food I've ever had from an establishment I mean it. The Linguine Alfredo was soooo bland and my friends salmon was dry, her broccoli wasn't cooked properly and they didn't even give butter or anything for her baked potato. We eventually decided that we just couldn't eat our orders. We went back in and ended up giving the food back and getting a refund. Still tipped Morgan though because of all the trouble she had to go through and she truly did give great service! I'll be damned if I ever go back. Side note: It was finals and graduation week so they were very busy BUT I've seen reviews from weeks and even months ago having gone through the same issues.

Worst delivery service I have ever experienced. Waited over 2 hours for an order of pasta with sauce and sausage + garlic bread. When it came, the pasta had no sauce and was cold, the bread was toasted to a crisp and hardly seasoned. Not to mention they got my order wrong and forgot the sausage, which costed 2 extra dollars. Do not eat here

My students love this place, but you don't have to be a student to enjoy it. The food is really good, their Gyros for example, are better than what you can find in Greece. Great atmosphere, good food at a good value and they are all about community and social responsibility. I highly recommend it.

Went to Dave's to grab a drink with some friends and the waitress/bartender could not have done a more poor job. I ordered two boilermakers, and remarkably, it took the bartender longer to pour two beers and two shots than it took for me to smoke a fug outside and take another few minutes to look over the dismal selection of beers. I normally would not be impatient like this, as waitresses and bartenders are often busy and under a lot of stress, but when I order a drink and she proceeds to go and shoot the breeze with her friends sitting at the bar (the only other people present) it becomes personal. Place is in a good location and the food is not bad, but I would have been more satisfied with a bag of smelly imported cheese than that excuse for a server.

stopped in to Dave's for the first time today. I learned that the owner was recently very responsive to community concerns about an event that was scheduled at Dave's. I figured, if the owner supports the community, I'd like to support the business. I'm gald I did! Informal atmosphere, inexpensive menu, good beer selection, friendly server. Clearly set up to appeal to college students, but mostly families and folks on business breaks over the lunch hour. I got a burger and fries. It was tasty. I'll be back for sure. Businesses that support the community get my support.
