Trio Tap House

Best Restaurant in Hays. We moved here about a year ago, and I'm actually mad our friends had not yet recommended TRIO to us. We went tonight for the first time, and we loved everything about it. Most other places have one or two things going for them, but TRIO has it all. Great drinks and Bartenders, my wife wanted drinks off the menu and not only did they happily make them, they made recommendations for new drinks to try that were better than what she had wanted! And the food. Best we've had in town. The Nachos were unbelievably good. My wife got the pasta, it was amazing, I got the fish tacos and they were SOOOO good, reminded me of the great fish tacos I got in California a few years back. And to top it off, the service was fabulous. We didn't want to sit at a table that was available when we got there, so they cleared another table people had just left and got us seated at it quickly. Then the Waiter, Jack, went out of his way to make sure everything we wanted was perfect. Making some special requests was not a problem at all, and he would ask for alternatives in case the cooks couldn't make it happen. He was helpful, thoughtful, and energetic. That's the trifecta of great service. I honestly can't say enough about this restaurant. If you haven't tried it yet, you absolutely must.

Stopped here for dinner while traveling across Kansas. The food was very good - we had sirloin steak, and the prime steak salad, and the iced tea was good too! But what really impressed us was the service! The sirloin steak was ordered medium rare and it came out more rare, and the green beans were seasoned. My dad asked to cook the steak a little more and to have plain green beans. They happily did both and the chef went so far to ask how he would like the beans cooked… steamed or sautéed. The food came out perfectly, but only before asking if we were satisfied w everything else. Then after dinner they told us they would give us a dessert on the house. We chose bananas foster cheesecake which was also delicious! Great experience

What a great experience! My wife and I came to Hays as a stopover to denver and this place has amazing food. I got the Buffalo mac and cheese while my wife got the adult grill cheese. Both dishes were delicious and I'm pretty picky about my mac n cheese. Even the tenders were higher quality than ones you get at a fast food joint. We also got beer and it was reasonably priced. All in all a good experience.

Grabbed lunch with a friend. Our meals were very good. We had fish and chips and buffalo chicken with Macaroni and cheese. The buffalo sauce complimented the Macaroni sauce very well. The potato skins were very good too. Typically, potato skins are over cooked and dry. They have a good selection of beers. I really enjoy visiting here for a treat and something a little different.

We are from Wichita and we met family there from Denver just for lunch and to spend a couple hours together for my husband's birthday. I suggested a amazing place that has mac and cheese burgers but they thought this looked like a nice place so this is where we ended up. It's nothing special!!! The food was not that great and the waitress was never around, there were 2 other people in the restaurant so its not like she was busy. Btw.. if you order fish tacos you only get two for that price. None of us were impressed.

Were visiting area for my graduation from Pennsylvania. Absolute BEST dry aged steak steak I've ever had in my entire life!!! & I have had steak from many places...Everything was phenomenal and cooked exactly as asked....the prohibition lemonade was awesome as well. You'd never suspect from the outside that the food is so amazing. Super friendly staff.
