Sal's Italian Restaurant

What a hidden gem 💎 found in Henderson Texas! This amazing restaurant sits down a bit, between 2 other buildings and if you didn't know it was there, you'd drive right by. Fortunately someone took me there for lunch, and my tastebuds will never be the same. In fact, I went the following day (today)and brought my family for dinner. The atmosphere is perfect, great design, beautiful things to admire as fast as decor along with seating by the lake! As you walk up to the entrance there is a nice fountain set up and it really prepares you to be relaxed and transposed into the great atmosphere inside. It is wheelchair friendly. All of the staff is friendly. The restaurant is very clean. The bathroom was clean and had room for my wheelchair. They provide hand sanitizer at the door for those who want it. The food is authentic Italian and it is divine!! The portions are big, the prices are extremely fair (cheapest I've eaten in 2 months with my family). It is so refreshing to be able to sit and truly enjoy the entire experience without complaint, and not have to pay an "arm & a leg". At the time of this review, they are hiring! If you need a job drop by. I don't want this place to close down because they don't have enough staff. I highly recommend Sal's, if you are in Henderson you can't drive through and miss out on an amazing experience! Get some Sal's while you're here!

So far the best Italian food we've had in East Texas! The pizza is great too! Best pizza we've had between Cherokee and Rusk Counties. The crust was amazing! Could have been a little heavier on the amount of toppings, we got Pepperoni and Pineapple and there was hardly any pineapple on it, some slices had none. Take out experience was flawless. The food was ready when they said it would be when I ordered. They were fast and friendly when I picked up the food. I really like the take out containers, they're a foil pie pan type and it kept the food nice and warm on the 20 min ride home. We will definitely be going back!!

Sal's will definitely be our "go to" restaurant for Italian cuisine. Robust flavors with just the right seasoning captures by the chef. My wife and I had the combo dinner. Making a decision on which entre was the best still has us debating. To top off our meals we had the cheesecake and amaretto cheesecake - both were delicious. The restaurant was very clean and our waitress, Jay, was helpful and delightful. The entire experience was at a very reasonable price. If this review was helpful, please "like" it.

Wow surprisingly good Italian food in Henderson TX! Quaint little place that has a great view of Willow Lake. Quick & friendly service. Food was amazing - all entrees were good. LOTS of options on the menu - heavy and light. Put this place on your list if you are in the mood for quality Italian - highly recommend!
