Great food, great atmosphere, friendly service. A hidden gem in Hendersonville - we will be back!

Unfortunately, a man who has had considerable experience in operating a very good restaurant with very good Italian food has failed to plan and execute his reopening of Renzo's Speak Easy. Anticipating the excetional Italian food of his previous restaurant, we attempted to enjoy a wonderful meal on Renzos reopening night, 11 Feb 22
After an hour and a half (at least) of waiting for our dinner we received two of the four dishes which contained not the ingredients advertised (sausage, not bacon), were undercooked, and at best, lukewarm. We left.
Renzo, when you get the bugs ironed out, maybe in a few months we'll try again. But, my friend, you should know better

Had the most lovely dinner here. Highly recommend for a romantic date night. Wonderful decor and atmosphere. The friendliest servers. Italian food that we talked about for days and a really nice wine at the recommendation of Renzo himself. He was so gracious. Can't wait to go back. **update** we’ve returned several times and brought all of our out of town visitors. They never fail to impress with their lovely hospitality and working our way through the menu so can report it is all excellent! Thank you Renzo and staff!

Dinner reservation was at 6pm. Finally left at 9pm. Food was ok but not worth the asking price. Service was excessively poor. Was told that a birthday party took precidence and was the cause for our delay. Will not return and would not recommend.

We went here for my mother-in-law's birthday dinner. Service was slow even though there were only about 3 tables seated in the restaurant. The waitress was nice though. However, she did take my father-in-law's plate while he still had food and was still eating. She didn't ask, just took it after we asked for the dessert menu.
The caprese salad was not good. The tomatoes were tough. I get it is December but if you can't find good tomatoes take the dish off the menu. The cheese was not Burrata as was listed on the menu; it was simply mozzarella. Nothing close to Burrata. We didn't finish it.
The pastas were ok, but not great. They lacked seasoning. Luckily the server anticipated the lack of seasoning and brought out a salt shaker with the meal. It was better with more salt, but still fairly bland.
The bread was ok. It was just plain bread like maybe French bread.
The server did bring out a piece of tiramisu with a flaming candle, which we didn't ask for, and comped that piece since it was a birthday dinner, so that was nice. The tiramisu was good.
The meal for the 4 of us was almost $200.
The atmosphere is nice in the restaurant. That and the birthday candle is the only reason it gets 2 stars. Otherwise I'd give it 1 star. Go to Asheville for Italian food at Cucina 24 and spend the same amount of money and get food that's 10 times better.

My sister took me here last time I visited her and it did not disappoint. I had the shrimp scampi pasta sooo delicious and the pasta is home made which I have never had. I will definitely go back, we had three other people with us and loved their meals oh not to mention their cream brûlée is melt in your mouth delicious.

We have lived in Hendersonville for a few years now and have never tried Renzo's. We took one bite of our dinners and all four of us looked at each other in disbelief. How is that we've never been here before? It was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, as was the salmon. The lasagna was amazing...the meatballs were delectable. Even bread and the olive oil were on point. The service from Cristian was nothing but quality. We will be back.

Never again. I will not support any business who holds a fundraiser for any politician who is a horrible bigoted individual and Adolph Hitler admirer. It’s good business to remain on neutral ground and decline political events of any kind.
