Stopped off for some lunch to break a long journey up and were very glad we did. Nice atmosphere, good value tasty food, would return again if in the area.

It's a good, welcoming and friendly pub. It has a large courtyard and indoor restaurant and serves simple, tasty food.

We were tired having driven out of London. We rang ahead to book and the staff were really friendly. It's a lovely pub serving good food not far off the M40. I would recommend it.

Beast fish and chips I’ve had for ages. Delicious crispy batter, fresh cod perfectly fried and chips to die for. The ice cream dessert was great, especially the strawberry ice cream, not coloured pink and subtly flavoured. Yum!

Lovely food, wonderful staff and a great atmosphere. If you fancy an evening drink with friends, a good traditional pub dinner or a quick and tasty lunch this is the place to go! I couldn’t recommend more and will be back very soon!

Had a business lunch today, so nice coming out of Covid to get out and about! Had pie and mash with gravy and veg, colleague had ham egg n chips. Good quality food. Service was adequate.
