Hot Tamales

First time at Tamales Mexican restaurant, numerous times for the in-laws. It did not disappoint. Starting with guacamole and fresh crispy corn chips to get in the mood. The presentations on all the plates were well thought out and not just plopped on the plate. My enchiladas with ground beef were well seasoned, and tasty to the last bite. Fish tacos were ordered and enjoyed by my wife. The Queso Fundito was very much enjoyed by my in-laws, ordered without the chorizos sausage. I’ll have to try it another time with the chorizos. This place is amazing!!! The guacamole is obviously homemade. The margaritas are delicious and not to sweet. Had a pumpkin tamale for the first time and it was outstanding! The quesadilla was lovely. The owner Jeff seems to know all the clientele, and stops by every table. I know it sounds odd for a Mexican restaurant, but the key lime pie is to die for. We also had the flan, which was excellent. I can’t say enough good things about this place. It is a Must for Highland Park!!!!!
