Sweetreats Ice Cream & Highland Deli

For 15 years visiting North Carolina we looked up ice cream near me! This is our go to when we are in the area and part of the reason we now visit!We used to go to Cashiers but have been hgoing to higlands location. Sweettreats is simply the best Ice cream! I love how the make it with the machines! We look forward to going again! Please comeback to Cashiers!

We stopped in yesterday for the first time and it is quite different from what we expected. There are only two choices of flavors; chocolate or vanilla, and a large selection of toppings that can be added which was quite good but certainly not as generous as most of the photos by other reviewers. The 6 ounce cup was exactly level with the top of the cup and not rounded as was my waffle cone. It was still an adequate amount but just not what one usually expects and certainly not what is depicted in past photos. Very refreshing on a warm July summer day!

The best of the "mix in the things you want and we make an ice cream out of that" style of ice cream place. They use these very serious industrial looking mixing machines, it's really cool to watch the process. I like to get vanilla ice cream, strawberries, raspberries, and milk chocolate. But really every combination I've tried has been great. This is one of my favorite ice cream places that I've ever been to.

Been coming here for the amazing Very Berry ice cream since my daughter was a child. She just got married in Highlands, NC and we asked if they could make a large batch to serve with the wedding cake and they agreed! Best wedding dessert ever! Thank you, Josh!! It meant so much to Hannah to have the Very Berry at her reception!
