White Lion Cafe

Friendly welcoming staff, cozy warm and comfortable atmosphere for both indoor and outdoor seating with great tasting food that is reasonably priced with good size portions and great choices of daily specials. We met for lunch and stayed for a long time and we never felt rushed to leave. Great place to meet friends and to sit and enjoy time together with comfortable seating.

Group of 5 randomly stopped at White Lion Cafe for a late lunch. Every single bite was delicious, lunches and dessert. All fresh homemade food and excellent service. We had a nice chat w chef Laurie, an added bonus. A hidden gem w indoor and outdoor seating and really cool cozy decor. We all loved it.

Disappointed. I've been here a few times and this was truly a hidden gem in Homestead. Came here for dinner last Friday and was handed a paper menu. The normal menu was nowhere to be found. The paper menu featured mostly pricey dishes which I wasn't interested in. It looked like the owner of the place must have come up on a spinach and mushroom sale based on the the menu choices. I came for steak and potatoes but they apparently left the building. When I asked what's up with the menu I was given the "we're short of staff" excuse. Just how long are businesses going to keep using this nonsense? Short of staff? Pay better or treat better. Anyways... I paid $15 for a burger that honestly was inferior taste wise to the one's Denny's is currently serving. My wife ordered a chicken picatta (SP?) and the noodles had not been drained causing a big bowl of wet food. The sauce was watered down as well which probably contributed to the problem. Much damp, no flavor. All that for the charming price of $26. White Lion, we love you but get your fecal matter together.
