Casavana Cuban Cuisine

Frequently visit the area due to work. I've been tempted to try this place and finally did. Went for dinner and ordered the Cuban sandwich. It did not disappoint. Portions are are generous and the flavor is authentic. I also got a cafe con leche togo.... otherwise i woudve ordered some arroz con leche. Maybe next time. I read a few reviews concerning customer service. Honestly its not so bad. Immediately seated and my order was taken not too long after. For those who don't want to dine in, they do have a takeout window you can order from.

Had dinner here on 12/10/2021 and it was delicious! We had mariquitas with mojito sauce that was a 10/10. (Unfortunately I had a gluten response because I'm sure these are fried in shared oil.) My palomilla steak was so big it was hanging off the plate and it was delicious. My husband ordered pork that was supposed to be served in a sauce according to the menu, but it arrived sauceless and he said it was dry. We each had a coffee and overall, it was a really delicious meal.

I placed a phone order for pick up and after I paid in advanced with a tip included, I get home and both meals were incorrect/missing item. I ordered medio pollo a la plancha and they gave me a chuleta de puerco. The second meal was missing side of yuca, they just put a bowl of onions. I called to notify of the mistake and the first guy put me on hold. A woman came on the phone, didn’t even apologize or acknowledge the mistake. She quickly responded if I wanted to fix the order or get a refund I have to drive back with the food and that was all they could do for me. Not only did I wait an extra 10min when I arrived to pick up the food, but I’ve never had a restaurant give me such an ultimatum. I could have sent them photos if need be but instead they were completely unwilling. Unfortunately I am a local resident and quite often purchase Cuban food in the area. I guess I’m better off going to Mario’s who don’t ask for a payment in advanced, would never make me have to drive back to fix an order! It’s extremely displeasing and I would never return here after this experience, especially when the woman was completely insensitive and lacking 100% customer service.

We have eaten here several times before without any major issues. Last night we ordered three pan con bistec, kids chicken tenders and a quesadilla. The meat did not taste or look like real meat. The meat could be pull a part and was soft and rubbery. We could not finish the meal and all woke up with stomach pains and my son threw up.
