Celilo Restaurant & Bar

My partner and I had a lovely dinner at Celilo. The food was delicious and very generously portioned. Our server was friendly and attentive. Only criticism was the host - we arrived 12 minutes late (I was very cognizant of the time) and upon arrival we were told that she had already CANCELLED our reservation (restaurant policy is 15 minutes so the host jumped the gun there). The host made a face at us and with some hesitance led us to a table. The restaurant was about half full. Not the finest first welcome but an easily correctible issue.

Made a reservation here for my mothers birthday dinner since I have heard amazing things about the food and had ate there a few years back. We had an appetizer of clams that was excellent. We ordered two salads, New York Steak, Porcini Risotto and Pappardelle pasta. All the food was excellent except for the Pappardelle pasta which was cold and lacking in taste. The main reason I am writing the review is because of the service. Initially our waiter made us feel rushed, not very welcome and then rarely returned to check in. Many times we saw the waiter attend to other tables during this time. We had to order an additional glass of wine from the bar because the waiter never returned. We were then given a new waitress who helped rectify the situation by taking off the pasta and a round of drinks and apologizing. Just disappointing experience on someone’s birthday.
