Monagons Pancake House

We were visiting Hood River for the weekend, as we’ve done many times before. Our original plan was to eat at a breakfast place we’ve visited before, only to find it out of business. We drove by Monagon’s and thought, “Why not?” Turns out, the service was friendly and the food was excellent!! Food was delivered to the table piping hot, and the biscuits were melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Husband and I both left satisfied. We’ll definitely eat here again!

I think there is some good food here, but there might be a surprise in store for you if you order something that is not a traditional Mexican item. My surprise was the order of "French Toast" that I ordered "to go". I was almost home when I looked in the container and could not figure out what I had been given at first..After I got home, I looked closely and found it to be a version of French Toast that had been deciphered by Google Translate, I think...It may have gone thru 3 or more translations and come out close, with some interesting flare to it. I ate it and LOVED it!! It was better than regular, untranslated French Toast, and the quality was better than expected. I am adventurous, though, and that worked for me. If you want things just like you are used to and you are not a patient person, you might be irritable by the time you get your food. It's up to you to decide. ..
