Mr. Whiskers

I got the Catfish platter with coleslaw and potato salad. Extremely off putting coleslaw texture almost like they drowned the slaw in mayo. The potato salad was great! My catfish on the bottom was soggy in certain places but over all it was good! The people make this place a joy to eat in every last person was very friendly and welcoming for that reason I’ll be back but won’t get the slaw!

If you are looking for the best catfish you have ever had, this is the place! The entryway walls are plastered with best catfish awards, and boy do they earn it. The prices are quite reasonable, and they also have a very wide selection of other food options like burgers and ribs and even pulled pork. Do not leave without trying the pickled green tomatoes! Make sure you say hey to Darius, the manager; he's one of the friendliest people around!

If you want a good burger, go to a fish place. If you want good BBQ, including smoked chicken, go to a fish place. If you want good fish and shrimp, go to Mr. Whiskers. The only thing that I haven't really been impressed with was the crawfish po boy. It wasn't bad, but there are so many other things that are much better. Get the BBQ baked beans because they are out of this world. The service has always been good also.

I loved the atmosphere and the fact that its a local joint with lots of loyal patrons. We do our best to support local businesses every time we can, so we were thrilled to try it out. Fun decor, great cole slaw and amazing hush puppies. My advice? Order extra hush puppies, just get that out of the way right now. I wasn't exactly thrilled with the mainstream, my fish and my shrimp were fishy. I know what you're thinking, but you know exactly what I am talking about. Fries were not fresh or hot, and went uneaten. Service was good, so I have to hope that we just had a bad experience. Please give it a try yourself because it came so highly recommended. I would hate to be the review that turned you off .
