Rod's Pizza Cellar

I used to eat at Rod's Pizza Cellar every week for years. I've since moved out of the area, but will make it a mission to return when I'm back in Hot Springs for a visit. Service is great and for a family-owned business, they make some of the best pizza I've ever enjoyed... and I've been completely around the world. If you have an appetite, I HIGHLY recommend their "Godfather" pie. It's absolutely phenomenal!

Very good Deep-Dish Pizzas! Not a truly *authentic* Chicago pizza, but still excellent nonetheless. What I also really enjoyed, was the expansive toppings list, in addition to multiple sauce options. Now, I don't know how they did it, but their pizza was not greasy, at all! Would definitely order again!

Service was sub par; it seemed they didn't enjoy there job. They had about 8 different pizzas on the buffet i tried 3 different types not very tasty. The salad bar was ok ate a small plate; house dressing was flavorful. I enjoy crackers with my salad and the have saltiness and club. The dessert pizzas were good. Chocolate, Bavarian cream and cinnamon. I took some chocolate chip cookies home. For 2 of us was 28$ without tip. Definitely not worth the price.

Waitresses seemed very busy, less than half the tables were taken. We waited on service a few times, didn't get noticed like I thought we would and the pizza needed few more minutes in the oven, raw dough at thick parts. Had to wait on the to-go box, had to go to register without a ticket, waited long time first. Wasn't in a hurry though. Guess since we aren't regulars we didn't get that extra love. I asked half a dozen times for an application, after getting one was told they aren't hiring. Asked for the manager a few times but she was busy in the back. I wanted a job there. Ok... The salad was great... the salad bar, perfection.
