Stubby's Bbq

Oh, so delicious! We are stuffed AND happy! We had the whole chicken; pork ribs; brisket; coleslaw and baked beans. Chicken had such a good smoked flavor and it was moist in all the right places. The tea was delicious and unfortunately I wasn't able to take some to go because they ran out/: Coleslaw was a little slimy and I couldn't figure out why. It was good but too sweet and it could definitely use those celery seeds. Atmosphere was comfy and service was good.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This was a poor excuse for BBQ. It was the worse. The chopped BBQ sandwich had no flavor. I don't know about Arkansas BBQ but from where I come from onions come with the plate. The sauce tasted like it was straight out of a bottle. The beans were fair. The potato salad was tasteless. The pictures look better than it was. The portion size was good. Too bad the food wasn't. Overall, it was not good, a waste of money and disappointing.

For having been around for so long and having such good write ups, why does the beef and ham taste like it came off of a steam table. No smoke flavor, no bbq taste. We also got deviled eggs. Those were pretty good. That's the only reason Stubb's gets 3 stars. Would not go back with at least two other places in Hot Springs that are better.

Nice place with a very comfortable atmosphere and a friendly staff. Not too crowded when I went. Nice quantities of food and a few items are quite good. However my biggest complaint is the barbecue sauce is just so sweet that it's like pouring corn syrup on things. The quality of the meat seems to be really good but there's not really a whole lot of flavor there. And the barbecue sauce they use is just isn't my thing. This place could be so much better if they had at least two other types of barbecue sauce, some kind of tangy vinegar-based sauce or a mustard or a Kansas City style, and then some kind of a hot barbecue sauce. With only one choice the sweet stuff it's just not all that good and everything just tastes too sweet. But I guess some people like that

55.00!!!! Supposed to feed 4. No plates, no silverware, no beans, no slaw. Wow!!!! Please do not spend your hard earned money here. The lady on the phone was nice and she said they we’re short staffed. I understand that. BUT, they had 3hrs to get our order ready. Good lawd. I took that with no lube. It will never happen again.
