On trip Texas to Ohio and back, we went off the interstate a ways to have breakfast here because I like to kinda stay away from the chain restaurants for the most part. Uncle had biscuits and gravy and cleaned the plate! They were out of pork chops and chicken fried steak, but the sausage was very good, the eggs cooked perfectly and the hash browns were the best I've had in a very long time! Nice and crispy! Waitress was very nice and from Texas!🤠

Found a nice little hole in the wall. Breakfast/ burger joint. Everything was good, cooked to order. Prices were great. Good food, portion sizes are big. Good service. Glad we stopped.

Definitely not what it used to be. (I know, I know…). Significantly smaller burgers. We were served 5 small onion rings for $3. The chicken fried steak sandwich was still stellar-ish. Too pricey for the get.

We LOVE Mel's! They have, by far, the best French dip/Philly cheesesteak sandwiches around! Burgers, fish, salads, are all great too! Great customer service, too!

Stopped in on our way home to Texas. This was a great little place! I had a Philly and it was awesome. My husband had a cheeseburger and said it was delicious! We will definitely stop again next time we come to Hot Springs offroad park.

One of the best burger and Cajun fries combos you can get around Hot Springs. Some people talk about Ohio Clubs burger, but it doesn’t compare to the ones I’ve gotten from Mel’s. I’m gonna work on trying out the many other items on their menu as soon as I can. It’s worth the trip to the outskirts of town for the great food they have to offer.
