Grotto Ristorante

This was such a fantastic experience. From when we arrived at the door to leaving. All in between. Perfection. The chef is absolutely exquisite and the service we experienced was phenomenal! Raphael was our waiter and the best I’ve ever experienced anywhere and I am a foodie and restaurant buff! If you are looking for a true 5⭐️ I highly recommend the Grotto!

You can always count on great food and service whenever you eat here. All the Wait Staff have been good. But today we had EXCEPTIONAL service provided by Cliff. So personable, attentive and fun. He will be our new go to waiter whenever he is working and we go there. The Kitchen staff always do great. My first time to get their pizza. Thin crust and delicious. Never have had an issue with anything we've ordered there over many years. Wish we lived closer so that we could come more often.

I asked the waiter for help choosing between three dishes and he told me not to worry, he’d take care of it. I don’t know the name of the dish he came out with, but it had a pink sauce, chicken, and mozzarella. It was obviously made with quality ingredients and it tasted great. It was fun to try something new in a surprising way. I also got the Passiok Fruit Panna Cotta, which was delicious!

I have been going to Grotto for years now. The atmosphere is great and the food was always on point . Unfortunately, last time I went I was disappointed with the size portion compared to the price . I order pasta cacio e Pepe and the portion looked like a child plate. I paid $19.00 for half a portion. For desert I had tiramisu and it was tasty.

Was looking for a place to have a late lunch in downtown Houston and this came up as one of the highest reviews in the area. I asked a friend who lives in Houston if they had ever heard of it and they said it was delicious, so of course we had to give it a try. Right away we absolutely loved the ambiance/ decor. Really cool vibe. I got the G&T cocktail and it was very good! We had three appetizers and all were really delicious. Would highly recommend!

Everything about our experience was top notch. Service was terrific. Our server was an older gentleman that was clearly in love with customers and his job. He joked with us the whole evening and tended to us in an exemplary fashion. All the food was fresh and fantastic. We were taking my niece out to celebrate her graduation, and I’ll be honest, I wasn’t thrilled that this was her choice. I figured it’d be overpriced pasta. I’m happy to say I was very wrong, and everything was outstanding. We’ll be back.

Simply awesome. Great food. Great service. Great people. Service is not typical of indifferent post pandemic 2023 standards we all have come to expect, meaning it is SUPERB and far superior to any other restaurant that comes to mind. When you walk in the door you are respectfully acknowledged and they are glad to see you. And they remember you if you've dined there before. A family favorite. SUMMARY: Great food. Great service. Great people. P.S. Server, Rafael, is fantastic. The best of the best. Highly recommend.

Went here for a birthday and had a good time overall. Read several reviews from Yelp that complained about service but ours this evening was great. We did dine early (16:30ish) because our daughter was getting tired so we didn't want to keep her up. They even ordered and got her food out first so that we could start feeding her asap which was greatly appreciated. I haven't had enough Italian to know good from great but the pizza and pasta were delicious enough! They also give you multiple breads with an olive oil mixture to dip.
