Teotihuacan Mexican Cafe

Stopped in with the family for dinner on Sunday the 17th of Sept. Had beef fajitas for 2 which were delicious. Refried beans were good. Pico was very tasty. Queso was also great. Son had the quesadilla with beans and rice which he enjoyed. Wife said the margarita was outstanding. Definitely recommend this of you're over in the Airline area. When you leave go hit the El Bollilo panaderia that's just up the street.

Very good Tex Mex food just a few minutes north of Downtown Houston. Service was fast and friendly. Prices were reasonable. Many meat, fish and vegetarian options to choose from. Upon sitting down you are immediately served ice water, chips and both a green and red sauce. The red sauce is warm and has some nice spice heat to it as well. The chips are crisp but a bit lacking in flavor. The food is fresh and flavorful and served in large enough portions to satisfy a larger appetite. The skirt steak is tender, well prepared with a lot of flavor. The tacos and enchiladas are some of the best that I have tasted in Houston. The homemade tortillas are wonderful. If your dish does not come with them it is worth asking for a side order to eat with your rice and beans. My only disappointment was the beer that I ordered. The bottle was cold but the accompany glass with lime were not chilled and left me with a warm beer after I poured it into the glass. My companion's strawberry margarita was very tasty and served well chilled.
