Ragin' Cajun

Wanted a place where we could watch the baseball game, have some beers and enjoy a good meal. Well this achieved them all, except the meal was great. Oysters were phenomenal, the stuffed jalapeños were tasty and entrees were top notch. Service was fast, prices were reasonable for what you got and the only downside for the night was the baseball game result.

I seen this place while driving in Houston so I decided to try it out I ordered the shrimp gumbo it had good flavor, but the shrimp were a bit overcooked also I had the shrimp po boy good size shrimp I should’ve asked for remoulade sauce instead of the regular mayo I also had the catfish nuggets the fish lacked flavor but fried good I would give another try

Awesome service and food! I have a black pepper allergy and they were able to go over and beyond to prepare the food correctly. From SC or would definitely be back soon! I believe our servers name was AP but the whole crew worked so well together and covered for each other. We were pretty much helped by every server working tonight which was refreshing...that doesn't happen very often.

This place has been a Houston staple for the past 47 years. No changes, Cajun music and atmosphere, and clean tables for dining. The crawfish is so popular that they sell more than any other restaurants. Crabs are also on the menu. The owner is from Lake Arthur, LA. Beautiful Cajun music plays in the dining area. Plenty of free parking. The clean up crew was quick the afternoon we were here.

My husband and I met His daughter here at Ragin Cajun. They were playing music and had 3 individual spots that you can sit in. The places is pretty big and the only reason I gave it 4 stars was because everything was Super Spicy and no one let us know. I ordered catfish it was spicy my stepdaughter had the boiled crawfish, and my husband had the shrimp and everything was spicy🫣. It was good but it was just a little too spicy for him and I but his daughter loved it.😋 But if you're there go check it out great drinks great atmosphere great service😉

Busy & interesting vibe. Crab 🦀 Shrimps 🍤 Oysters & Crawfish were the kings of the scene. The place was crowded and energetic, with a lot of people having fun at the rodeo and spring break. The music was country and upbeat, and the self-serve system was easy and convenient. I got the charcoal grilled oysters, the soft shell crab, and the fried oyster, and they were all delicious and fresh. The oysters were well-done and flavorful, the crab was crispy and tender, while the fried oyster was crunchy and sweet.
