Bollo Woodfired Pizza

I've been coming here for several years now, and I've always been impressed with all of their dishes. Their waitstaff, especially Carlos, has always been on-point and professional. The biggest draw for my family and I is the Gluten-Free crust options. My wife has Celiac's, has never had a problem, and this has consistently been some of the best GF pizza we've found in Houston.

Pizza was pretty good. And the whole place looks nice a welcoming. It sort of has a homey vibe to me. I will say the pizza it's a pricey at $21 for about an 11". Appetizers are also expensive. $15 for mozzarella sticks is too much for me, but maybe not for you. I didn't pay it. Staff was friendly though and again the pizza was pretty good. Not the best I've had, but definitely in my top 5.

Ordered the meat trio pizza plus a slice of Lemon cake for delivery. Crust has good structure and a little thinner than I was expecting. Crust is more NYcstyle. Flavor is good but a little salty. Delivery was right on time. Food arrived in excellent condition. The bottle of water and slice of cake arrived in separate bags.

So Bollo Pizza is definitelyranking higher than most on the top 10 Houston Pizza restaurants. Since grading pizza is so subjective I have applied a little structure to "Pizza Thursday" that helps YOU make up your own mind about this establishment. The grading is 1-5... with 5 being the best or most. Crust Thickness - 2 moderately thin, but perfect Neapolitano style crust Crust Flavor - 4.5, but 5 if you are aware of Neapolitano flour and consistency. Tasty with perfect shape and edge.. Cheese amount and elasticity - 5 had proper amout of stretch and well proportioned Topping quantity - 5 excellent quantity and dispersion I had the Carne Trio Rosse Pizze and I will forever compare all that come to this meat pizza Sauce Quantity - 3 perfect for coverage and just enough for what I like Sauce Flavor - 5 very nice Atmosphere Cleanliness - 5 Very clean and set up nicely. Good music and well organized so that you have space to yourself Atmosphere noise level - 5 very quiet and easy to have a conversation Day After - 5 it kept well and was still amazing. Comments: overall I grade Bollo at a solid 5. I am also a big fan of Stags' Leap wine, and was very happy to see that it was a choice on the wine menu. The Alabama location is perfect for sit down, outside dining, as well as take-out. I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to taste both the Tiramisu while my wife ordered the cheesecake. Phenomenal... The Pizza was very good, and worthy of return visits.

The BEST pizza hands down!!! Our drive is always worth it (we live 30min away). Food is ALWAYS deliciously amazing and freshly made. Our waiter Carlos deserves the spotlight. He was very attentive throughout the night and his attention to detail went beyond our expectations. If you want amazing pizza and exceptional service THIS is your place.
