Mccormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks

3.5 stars - came out here for dinner on a weekday and was pretty surprised by the food. Our apps and drinks were great, as well as the service, but the entrees were disappointing. My partner’s steak you could tell came from a frozen bag and was more rare than medium rare. My Chilean sea bass was extremely fishy and just tasted like salt, not at all what I expected. We will definitely give this place another shot but we are not in any rush to come back.

Nice elegant spot , Service was Top Tier ! Everyone was pleasant & refreshing. We went around lunch time , reservations was easy to make & accommodating . Food was amazing, drinks was amazing. Highly recommend Crab Cake for starters & Lobster was immaculate!! Our waiter was Amazing Kudos to the gentleman! Definitely will be back next time we are in Houston!

Nice neighborhood restaurant! I’ve visited quite a few times over the years and enjoy the variety of oysters and the menu specials. Sitting in the bar can be fun as well. Top notch seafood with a nice selection of other items as well. We have visited the private room for a party as well. They did a great job with heavy pass around!

Went there for a party, the staff were so attentive, drinks were awesome and well made. I had the salmon stuffed with crab, this was the best salmon dish I had in a long time. The lobster bisque was oh so good. The menu was set for the party, but I am going back to try other things on the menu, very great dining experience, awesome location too. The chocolate box dessert was fabulous.

6/17/22 - another random stop in for HH. The menu continues to wow and improve. Presentation is gorgeous and visually exciting now. Flavors are divine! The oysters are some of the best we've had in Houston in a long time and are very reasonably priced compared to so many restaurants at the moment. Adult beverages continue to please and destress our day. Oh and the "chocolate bag" is still the best dessert on the planet! :) This place was always a great place to stop for HH in the past. That said, we stopped coming for a long time as so many other new options. I met a client for lunch here yesterday and was happily surprised. The bar area has been revamped and seems much nicer in appearance. The menu has also had some much needed adjustments and upgrades. The food was much better than I remember in previous years. Both in its flavor and plated presentation. The Raspberry Moscow Mule was simply fantastic!!! The hostess and waitstaff were all extremely welcoming and we enjoyed better service than I remembered in past years also. I look forward to visiting more often once again as a result of these changes. Just FYI - the chocolate bag with fresh berries as a dessert is absolutely the best and a must enjoy!!
