Helen Greek Food And Wine

This place is to die for. My husband and I were looking for a spot in the area that was unique and boy did we find it. The staff was incredibly welcoming and polite, they made us feel very welcomed - the food and drinks were on another level. Huge wine selection and the sangria was delightful. The feta spread and market fish were incredibly thought through dishes and I haven’t had something so delicious in a very, very long time. If we weren’t from out of town, we certainly would be here regularly.

Tried for the first time today. Great service from Camila - friendly and attentive. Offered to get my dad a kalamata olive dish that's only on the dinner menu even though we were there for lunch. I'm guessing this restaurant focuses on the Greek equivalent of tapas, so we shared three items: The three dips (with pita triangles) were amazing. Some of the best hummus I've had and the pepper dip was delicious, too. The pita was excellent. My parents figured it must have been fresh baked. The spinach and cheese pie was also outstanding. The menu says it's similar to spanakopita but better. Absolutely true. The third dish was a type of chicken with feta. While the potatoes in that dish were great, the chicken was a little gristly. Wouldn't order that dish again, but the first two were SO good that we'll go again.

First time eating here and it was quite a surprise as the atmosphere was very nice but since the weather was beautiful, we sat outside and the food was delicious. We ordered a single gyro platter and chicken soulvanki over vegetables and everything was well seasoned and packed with fresh natural flavors and the desserts were also very good. Service was a little slow bc there was only one person but overall, still a place we enjoyed.

Elevated European cuisine in an unexpected location. Establishment is fairly small but pleasantly decorated inside. Menu has a variety of classic and unique dishes; everything we ordered tasted fresh and was well prepared. The attention to plating also made for a nice addition to the experience. Great place to explore European favorites.

Lunch at Helen was wonderful! Trio of dips (my favorite was the chickpea hummus, his was the red pepper hummus with feta), grilled octopus (Ohmigoodness… YUM!!) and catch of the day (snapper with delicious roasted veggies… All items were cooked beautifully, service was prompt and friendly. We can’t wait to come back. Great little spot in Rice Village!!

This is definitely a hidden gem in Rice Village. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave this place has a super chill vibe. The service is just right for this little Greek restaurant. The food is outstanding. I personally had the daily fish selection and it was very good. The fish was very flavorful, fresh, and very well spiced. The consistency of the fish was perfect flaky and fluffy. The housemaid dips are phenomenal. There chickpea dip was very fresh and tasty. Their pita bread seemed to be very warm and tasted like it had just come out of the oven. Their wine selection is not too large but very good. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice, homemade Greek food, relaxed vibe place.
