Pappas Seafood House

The food was fantastic as well as the service. I got the fried catfish and my husband got the steak. The fish was still hot after I cut into it a few times and the fries were seasoned perfectly. The steak was cooked to perfection- medium rare. The food was also reasonably priced. Second time there and it didn't disappoint. Can't wait to go back!

The waitress said they are a new company now and the Prices are Cheaper. The Prices did go down a little. And the Food Quality is still there. I can only speak for the Appetizers and the Fried Fish and Shrimp. I was very pleased and satisfied. I will return soon. For Classic Seafood dishes done up in Fancy Sauces i like to go to the Pappas on N. Shepard.

Their shrimp soup and salad was very tasty, good service, attentive waitress, small option available to keep the lunch cost down. Was very filling. Felt like we waited a little longer than expected to receive our food. Thought a soup and salad would have been quicker to prepare. But it was worth the wait.

Pappas Seafood House is now rebranded as Pappas Shrimp Shack! The basic idea is using Pappa's buying power in the seafood market to obtain a great quality of food but pass on the savings to the guests. This concept is a much more cost effective than Pappa's Seafood or Pappadeaux's. For example, the ribeye and garlic shrimp dish is $23.95!

Our meal was great. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed ourselves. But when it was time to leave, we discovered we had become victims of smash and grab crime, in broad daylight. Someone reported the crime to the day supervisor, who told my husband she called the police. But for as long as we were there, no police showed up. The day supervisor offered us a drink, hmmmm. Oh, there is a sign on a lamp post, close to where we were parked, that states this property under video surveillance. Well, when my husband asked the day supervisor about the cameras, she told him she didn't know where they are located. Uhh, yes, there is surveillance of the parking lot all right -- by the SMASH AND GRABBERS! I included some photos for your viewing pleasure.

Whenever I’m up north running errands for my mom, this is a must stop for lunch! One of my favorite things to eat are lobsters! And I got quite a huge one! I think it was a 5lbs lobster so the claws were huge! As big as my hand! And it was oh so delish! Cannot wait to come back. I love seafood and this place has pretty much everything I want! Fresh shucked oysters on the half shell, shrimp cocktails, crab fingers, etc. Never left disappointed.
