Pappa Charlies Barbeque

I've enjoyed Pappa Charlies BBQ since they were serving out of a trailer with a window at Jackson's and have thoroughly enjoyed it every time I've had it. The meats are so tender and juicy and the sides are an added bonus! The BBQ sauce is delicious, I love the extra kick you get from it! Keep up the good work guys!

We left Texas for Colorado in 2008 and have missed Texas BBQ ever since. Was in town for work and coworker and I visited for lunch. Brisket was awesome-juicy/smoky/tender. The thin sheath of fat on top was killer. If you're anti-fat, deal with it. Coworker shared ribs which were great also. Good collard greens.

Here for NTI 2017... its so delicious my nurse friends and I came twice. Ribs, brisket and chicken were perfect. Creamed corn, greens and especially delicious Mac and cheese. They have an awesome loaded Mac. Also local beers. I'd definitely make a trip here to have dinner if I find my way to Houston again!

I've had their Brisket, Sausage and Ribs. I've eaten a lot of Brisket and participated in several cook-offs. To be honest this brisket is top 2 all time for me. It's unbelievably soft, rich and flavorful. The fatty cap coated in cracked pepper is what keep me going back for more. The ribs and sausage are both incredible as well. These guys probably won't tell you, because they're not the types to brag, but it's a veteran owned establishment as well and it's always nice to support our Vets. rltw1

The place is nice, clean and has a friendly staff. The ribs are freakin goooood! Has some heat to it as well as the coleslaw. I wanted more ribs! The brisket was juicy and tender. But nothing beat those ribs. My husband didn't like the fact that they did not offer bread, jalapenos, onions and pickles but at least they gave us everything but the bread. 1 last thing is that they have a 2 meat plate on the menu but if you order the ribs it's an additional 3.50 more. Just sayin...

Finally got to try this joint today, and was impressed with the food as well as the staff!!! Had the brisket and chick (all white meat) with mac and cheese and beans as sides. Everything was excellent, mac n cheese was off the chain, as well as the beans and chicken! Definitely will be returning to try the loaded mac'n'cheese. The staff was friendly and extremely accommodating!!! Thank you!
