Escalante's Mexican Grille

I love the service here. I arrived with a group of 10 without reservations, and the front desk staff got to work putting a space together and we super friendly. I even hassled them by wanting to sit in a certain area of the restaurant and they happily moved me (at least it seemed it was no problem!). My guests were well attended by the waiter and food and margaritas were great. Kudos to the manager for having this kind of staff.

The empanadas were very tasty. The jalapeno ranch(?) Was a delightful addition to the dish. I didn't care much for the chicken enchiladas I got. This restaurant is not for picky eating kids. Not very many options for bland eating children. 😅 My friend's kid, was disappointed and got chicken tenders but didn't like the beans or rice. But he was probably just being a brat😂 The rest of us enjoyed the food and the service. We got there 30 minutes before closing time, but we thought it was earlier than it actually was. The food came out hot and fresh and in good order. So, we enjoyed it overall.

I came here for my birthday cake of their Tres leches it’s my favorite. My father been bringing me here for it since I was younger now as an adult I bring myself for my birthday 🥳. I’d say I had some excellent service I sat at the bar area to watch the Houston Astros baseball game I was alone. I got prompt bar service had chips and salsa my favorite and then my meal came and it was hot and fresh as always. Thank you to having such a great bar staff who were friendly, consistent and respectful along with keeping the area tidy. I wish I remembered names I’d thank them personally but I don’t. Haha But it was a great experience over all and I love the yummy Mexican candies on the way out. See y’all again soon 😬

Solid Tex Mex place in the Meyerland Plaza. My friend’s chicken skewers were amazing and my fajitas were pretty good, though I’ve definitely had better. The prices here are little higher and for how empty the restaurant was the service was a little slow, but still friendly and good vibes. We’d come back!

This location's service was outstanding. Food was absolutely delicious. I came with a group of 15+, and they were so kind to accommodate us in their event room. The location was clean, the servers were very kind, and the food came out in a timely manner. Will definitely be coming back here again! P.S. Tres Leches? Perfection

Great isn't A good enough word to describe this restaurant. Nor the word perfect. Very authentic food such zest. Even the coke taste just like heaven. I actually wanted to try this place for years. And boy it was worth every bit of it. And as long as the customer service is this good and the food too. I will forever come back. Its worth it. You want heaven tasting authenticity. My reviews are valid try them!

I went here twice since I’ve been in Houston. The drinks are great the food was very good. I really liked the guacamole. The chips and salsa were both fresh and filling. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a little on the pricier side, but we’ll worth it in my opinion. I had the street tacos and added some salsa it was delicious.
