Reggae Hut

Went around lunchtime. The staff was warm and friendly. Stew chicken, jerk chicken, and curry chicken so everyone could try a little or everything. Everything was good. Meat pie was also good. I'm not a potato salad fan but there's wasn't bad but I'll stick with the rice/peas or vegetable side. Looking forward to trying the oxtail and curry goat next visit.

I came to the Reggae Hut with a party of 11. They had more than enough space for us. The food was outstanding! It came out steaming hot and was full of flavor. I had the jerk shrimp, rice and peas and vegetables. I also took an order of jerk chicken to go. It's definitely worth the drive and we will be back.

This place is really great! Definitely my favorite jerk chicken and oxtail I’ve ever tried. We came in and definitely looked like we hadn’t experienced Caribbean food before (i have a bit) so they offered to give us samples to see what we liked and everything we tried was delicious. We ended up going with the curry chicken, jerk chicken and several beef patty’s and some homemade ginger ale. Everything was amazing and truly reasonably priced. Great spice and excellent cook on The chicken. So tender and fall off the bone. Can’t wait to come back to Houston to have some more jerked chicken along with the excellent costumer service and great atmosphere!!! If you like spice and flavor and excellent meat quality, this is definitely a go to in the neighborhood.

I came here because I saw some reviews. Let me tell you that this was even better than the reviews! I was in there eating like a little fat kid swinging my legs eating! Everything was so flavorful, hot & tender. I had the jerk chicken & I wanted more, but I was too full. We also had curry goat & it was tender too. The rum punch was my favorite drink. The only problem that we had was that we didn't have another stomach to put more stuff in. Lmbo. The staff were also very friendly. We talked about all different types of subjects. This will be visited when we come back! Great job!

One of the better Jamaican places I’ve tried in Houston. It tasted really authentic. I tried the jerk chicken and it was amazing and the portions were huge I got the homemade lemonade as well. It was delicious. I would really recommend this place. Also, they have other shops next to it that you should try out..

Best jerk chicken, no contest. Spicy, smoky, perfect. But their deeper menu is also extremely strong: complex brown stew chicken, great curry goat, bright flavorful garlic shrimp, and an oxtail stew that’s totally worth it. Veggies, beans and rice, hot sauce, and just about everything else bring us back almost weekly. In Houston, with some of the best food in the world, that’s one heck of a compliment.

The best Jamaican food we've had yet! We had the brown stew chicken, curry goat, and jerk chicken. Everything was better than we could have hoped for. One thing of note so you won't be surprised by this difference in serving portions, they give less rice portion than you typically see at Jamaican establishments, but they make up for it by giving you a huge food and gravy portion! We ate while we were there and had enough left to eat again at home and were completely stuffed! Compared to other Jamaican restaurants we've visited, Reggae Hut has the best price to serving size in my opinion. Everyone was polite, professional, and good attitude. Loud music outside was a nice touch and good conversation level inside was very comfortable. I just wish we lived closer. Highly recommend!
