Great selection of craft beers! I am not a roast beef sandwich guy but this one is exceptional.

The catfish and okra were perfect and super yummy. However the onion rings weren’t my favorite and I wasn’t a fan of the tarter sauce but other then that they had great food and good service. I would love to go back for dinner and enjoy more of the festivities 🥳

What a difference a year makes. The first time I went here I loved the beignets but the rest of the food was just okay. On my recent visit the food really stepped up. The flavor was spot on and the beignets were still over the top great. We had an array of dishes and were very impressed with the food overall. Super nice staff and very attentive. The decorations and small store in the back are great touches to add to that New Orleans vibe.

The best REAL Cajun food you'll find in Houston!! The staff treats you like family. in there at least twice a week and even more during crawfish season!!!! I love the seafood gumbo, friend catfish, fried shrimp, potato salad, bread pudding... basically everything🤣😅

Such awesomely good food. Ordered the roast beef debris fries with pepper jack cheese and grilled onions. Amazing. So good and would definitely get them again and again.

The shrimp po-boys (and the service, too) are FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC! Moved to Cypress, TX from Louisiana in 2018 and have been searching far and wide for a true Louisiana-style po-boy made with Leidenheimer's french bread, properly seasoned/breaded shrimp, and appropriately dressed with pickle, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. We hit the jackpot with Verna Mae's. They're natives of Kenner, LA and they know how to throw down in the kitchen. Do yourself a favor and stop here for a shrimp po-boy today. You will not regret it!

First time here, early Saturday afternoon, few customers in here. I tried the cup of seafood gumbo, what can I say... except OMG! Perfect seasoning, and lots of shrimp and seafood in the cup. Next is the Shrimp and catfish, equally as good. Add onion rings and the hurricane lemonade frozen drink. Definitely the place to come for great fresh seafood. Thank you for the incredible experience for me and my tummy.

I know my Creole and Cajun cuisine and this restraunt is as close to the true Crescent City that you will find with out going to New Orleans. It's good food and if your looking for it just visit this spot.

One of those hidden jewels you're Not really looking for yet when you stumble across it you're puzzled by where it's been this whole time lol. I just got all around lucky and it was Ladles Night special after 5 so daiquiris were Only 2.50. The pictured sautéed Crab claws were also something I had to double up on. Overall can't wait to try more dishes. Great prices, Great customer service & Definitely Great Flavor.

My husband wanted some excellent Louisiana style seafood so we decided to try this place. Not only is everyone really kind, like a family, but the food is excellent. I can't wait to go back for ladies' night!
